ganking a lux with barrier and leblanc are actually impossible.

so unless riot does something about these goddamn sonic-like characters, mid lane will never be decent. this includes zed too, but atleast he can be caught.

LeBlanc - Hope that your laner can bait a fight and not die in the process. (If she uses both procs on her W and R, she's fucked.)

Lux - Long range mages like this are really, REALLY weak to people who can jump on them. If at all possible, go in after she's whiffed her snare.

The Whamboozler1 votes

LeBlanc I can kinda see your complaining... she has a very fast dash... two after level 6.

Lux however... is one of the squishiest... slowest champions in the game. ALL she has going to save her if she's pushed is her Q... which is very narrow. Dodge it and kill her. If she's playing safe under tower, no... no she's hard to gank. But who isn't? Nearly ANYONE with barrier who was hugging their tower would be hard to gank and kill.

Learn the match up and you'll be fine. You just gotta improve.

i dont think u know her e range :)

Lux's E? I don't know Lux's E range?

Dude... Lux is my main mid. Possibly my main champ in general. I know her VERY well. Her E has good range, a good area and if she leaves it down, it slows. It's strong. It's her bread and butter ability. Yeah. I know how her E works.

What YOU don't know is how to get around it. If something as simple as a slow is thwarting your ganks... they're not great ganks. Wait for her to push and flank her instead of coming down river. Dash around it (just watch for the bind too). Don't come in on her until she's used her E on the laner. FYI: it's the spell she uses most in lane... she WILL use it to CS or harass if you wait 3 seconds. Let the laner go in aggressively and gank once she's tossed her spells at HIM defensively. Or go in and eat them yourself to set up your laner... you might not get an assist, but your laner being ahead is STILL a worthwhile gank. Hell, if you're sure you can get the kill if you get to her... FLASH. And if she's playing her lane safe, smart and not giving you a chance to go in and kill her... well... maybe you can't go in and kill her! Gank someplace else. If she couldn't be played safely no matter what she'd be an awful champion. No sane person would play a champion who was NEVER safe in lane... even if tower hugging. If she's playing safe and defensively she's not really getting fed or roaming... so she's not really someone you need to worry about right then. As the jungler, you should be hunting for the enemy you CAN rip apart or set up for your team and abusing them. Not everyone will be kind enough to serve up kills for you by pushing to tower with no wards or escapes. Lux has no mobility, so if she's smart... she's warding well and watching her back.

Also, the game isn't about ONE champion in ONE lane. Get another lane ahead. You have four teammates... ALL of whom can get fed and help win the game. (Even the support... especially if it's Brand or something) Go rip apart the top laner... camp him... shut him down... and brutally punish him every time you can... not only are you getting your team ahead, but you're forcing Lux to either roam top to help (Risky, due to how vulnerable she is if caught out) or to ignore it and let you get a huge lead. Or camp bot, as people love to do now. Unless YOUR mid is just feeding lux kills, you'll be able to beat her come midgame teamfights if your team is ahead. If you're failing to gank everywhere... or the enemy jungler keeps counter-ganking and turning your ganks around... well, then you're getting outplayed. It sucks, but it happens.

Don't see an ability that can be used against you and complain it needs nerfs instead of learning how to play around it. My advice would be to play Lux, if you have her, at least. See what tricks work against you. See what her flaws are by playing her. This is the best way to learn how to beat an enemy playing the same champ. You WILL see her flaws when you play her.

Lol lux main defending freelo, nothing to see here.

Nerf her.

iHerring1 votes

He's pretty on point though. Lux can choose to be very safe if she wants to but it limits her impact on the game. Even then, as soon as she messes up part of her safety (e.g. bad use of Q or outright missing it on you/your jungler, bad positioning and awareness before gank) it comes down to flash and barrier whether she lives or not.

Or maybe you just don't gank her great :3

Whiny child crying to nerf anything he doesn't like because it's easier than learning how to play against it.

Give some reasons for your opinion if you're going to make statements like this, or assume I will ignore you words as the worthless crying of a salty little rager.

It probably has something to do with Lux having one of the highest win rates in the game with a high play rate (about equal to LeBlanc's, only slightly lower), a mediocre playerbase experience rate (about equal with LeBlanc's). Oh, and did you know that Lux actually dies less often on average than LeBlanc?

Lux is more or less the best mid laner in the game save maybe Zed right now in Solo Queue. And she's been that way since those unnecessary, ridiculous buffs she got back in season five.

The answer is for them to buff other mages to her level... not to dumpster her. She's strong because she's safe. And in the AD heavy meta we're in... she provides good, solid AP burst to teams lacking magic damage. When half the games I see have melee-ranged AD assassin-types mid I'm not shocked she's doing well. Lux can play the lane safely, harass melee champs and then provide way more utility, waveclear and use in a teamfight then those sorts of champions can. She's strong at sieges and her base damages are good... making her decent early game. Games end faster now, so early sieges and turret pushing is a big thing now... the meta plays to her strengths. She's also by default good at PREVENTING pushing, so she's good at defending against the most common way games are won or lost these days... with early tower pressure that gives the aggressors a powerful lead. She's strong because she fits the current meta well, not because she got buffed into the sky or something. Once the meta shifts again she'll be back to being normal... or lackluster. The immobile mages who contest her for mid are receiving tweaks soon, so give it time before you cry for nerfs.

Or again... learn to play around her. She's 100% skillshots. EVERYONE has dashes these days.

First of all, please don't assume that I don't know how to play against Lux. I rip Lux's vagina in half and take a shit in it.

Second of all, if like one mage is too strong, it's far easier to just bring her in line rather than buff other mages to her level.

Also, what is this "now" shit. Lux has been one of if not the strongest mid laner since mid season five, before games started ending earlier. She's had around a 54-56% win rate since at least when her Q was buffed.

The meta change didn't suddenly make her so strong. She has been about this strong since patch 5.17 or whenever the hell it was, when her Q was buffed. Maybe earlier than that, when she got the buff to her E.

If you know how to play against her... and you stomp her so hard... why are you complaining about her?

Because she's too strong. What does my performance against her have to do with her strength as a champion?

A good counter to both Lux and LB is Kassadin (post 6).

Chrome Raven2 votes

and then (after 6) u lose because lux is a lane away but her q landed so u should now lose most or all of your hp.

Beldair1 votes

Dude, Kassadin has his ult which allows him to tp away. And besides, lux's q doesn't go from say bot lane all the way up to mid. Get your ranges right.

Press R? Kass literally has a flash on a 1.2 second cd. He should NEVER get hit by a skillshots EVER.

Lux balanced.Nerf this stupid,so safe champ.

Kaioko1 votes

LeBlanc is supposed to have an aggressive early game. The only way to gank her is wait till she has used her distortion offensively as it has a really long cd early.

Lux - her shield adds 60 health per touch (up to 2) and she won't get it till level 3. It's not anything more ridiculous than Ori's shield that also boost defenses or Karma's shield. She's extremely squishy just hard CC her and you'll force her flash.

iHerring1 votes

Le Blanc I can understand with the dash and snare chain which becomes double dash at 6.

But impossible is just, not at all the word for ganking a Lux, unless by gank you mean "dive her under tower when she has all her cds ready and full health/mana"?

What kind of Lux are you trying to gank that has the same level of mobility as a Le Blanc? Lux item 3285 item 3100 item 1326 item 3504 + item 3153 active ???
