People think playing Yi automatically makes players bad, where average counterplay like CC and focus completely destroys them.
Yi is, has been broken ever since his rework.

Sated Devourer is a damage item. You have to shut down Yi HARD early on in order to keep him from completely pummeling you later on, or use CC. Focus him in fights.
Drink some water, man. You must be thirsty from all of that salt.
For Yi, the typical plat+ team comp destroys him because you have a high farm low gank low CC low tankiness jungler on the other team.
If you let him get 6 slotted without influencing lanes or taking objectives, you have already /ff'ed. You just didn't know it yet.

This is why you can't let Yi free farm his way to Sated.
How many times did you and your Support Ward his Jungle, so he could be caught out and killed? How often did Mid and Top go together to Ward his side of the Jungle so they too could help Counter Jungle and shut him down?
Oh, I see, you just expected your Jungle to do all that, right?
I guess you also expect the Support to place 700 Wards, because Fuck Team Game, That is YOUR Job.
You shut down Yi as a TEAM... if you don't decide to do that as a Team, face the consequence. Which is having a very tough to handle Champion making the game very difficult for you.
Obviously, he wasn't to Unstoppable... you Won.
