Champion Balance: Yasuo, The Unforgiven (NEW)

Hello,

Last time i've made a Champion Balance on Yasuo but it didnt go as i wanted, so here is a new one. I gathered some information about some Yasuo haters and this is i think the best way to get Yasuo balanced. Im pretty positive Yasuo needs earlygame buffs and lategame nerfs. Im keeping it short so everyone can understand.

  • Attack speed growth increased to 3.0% from 2.5%.

  • Ability: Wind Wall** (REWORK)** - Windwall is destroyable with Basic Attacks. So think about an ability like Yorick W (Dark Procession) For example is Yasuo is behind Wind Wall and Vayne tried to hit **Yasuo **and it hits Wind Wall, It will lose 1 Wall Health. But you can Basic Attack, Wind Wall aswell. Everyone knows Yasuo lategame is one of the best carries and a Marksman deleter. This give's Marksmans a better counterplay against Yasuo lategame.

Only destroyable with Basic Attacks.

** WALL HEALTH: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 5**

  • Ability: Sweeping Blade - Can create 3 stacks instead of 2. What does that mean? OLD: First stack deals +25% base damage. Second stack deals +50% base damage. NEW: First stack deals +25% base damage. Second stack deals +50% base damage. Third deals +75% base damage.

This is a small buff in his early game laning phase. Because his laning phase is pretty hard to play.

I would like to see Yasuo's passive adjusted... getting 240% damage on every hit (IE Crit) with two items (PD and IE) is a bit insane and it allows him to go full tank after and still be a carry in damage role. change it to 33% instead of 50% so he has to work on itemizing and build less def stats if he wants god tier damage. The champion is banned so frequently its pretty obvious people think he is too strong or they wouldn't be banning him as much as they do.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Yeah true, but Yasuo already has a lot of counterplay. Randiun's Omen, Ninja Tabi & Exhaust. So Tank's can counter him on that way and Marksman's can counter him with this Reworked Wind Wall.

Shiznyte1 votes

50% armor pen plus a bonus 200/300/400 damage + 150% bonus ad scaling tacked onto the damage that also crits... that is his ult and i believe his ult destroys tanks even with items. Exhaust is his only counter play IMO and thats' a scarey thought. A summoner spell on a 210 second cool down is the only real way to deal with him.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Disagree, Randiuns Omen blocks -20% of his Critz and he has 100% crit so he blocks ALL of his basic attacks and Q with 20%, Ninja Tabi blocks -10% of his BasicAttacks & Q... 150% Bonus AD right. If you just do research ALMOST everyone's ult have above a 100% ratio on AD or AP. Im pretty sure Yasuo has the most counterplay items in the game.

Shiznyte1 votes

Idk about the ult ratio portion of the discussion that seems a bit far fetched very few skills in the game have ratios over 100% actually 1 to 1 ratios are hard to come by. I agree randuins will do work vs a Yasuo but it takes too long to get one and yasuo can dominate before one is built.

A Fcking Dragon1 votes

most champions can dominate (if they are champs that can ever dominate in a game) before u get a randuins.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

I dont think thats true tbh, if you get a Marble vest which is 900g atm. Yasuo already gets fucked in lane.

A Fcking Dragon2 votes

u forgot that randuins even slows his attackspeed, making his q cooldown higher if he isnt far enough over the cap already

Ahem, bonus armor pen

Hhh you guys are sad man, there are so many ways to beat yasuo heck, he isnt even close to OP rn. If you are not aware, riot even tried buffing yasuo but reverted last patch (prob bec haters will be complaining). I dont have much to say since its not my decision on how this rework is going to turn out.

P.S Yasuo crits dont do 250% -_-

INTENT: Yasuo gains double the critical strike chance from all sources but his basic attacks and Steel Tempest.png Steel Tempest respectively deal 90% and 75% damage when Critical strike icon critically striking.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

True, Yasuo is not overpowered at all. This is why the attack speed growth for better scaling and his E buff in earlygame. This wind wall rework will be amazing if it gets in the game.

Shiznyte1 votes

Yasuo crits do 240% with IE not 250% you are right.

Spicy Rice1 votes

Ya know, if you took the time to read his kit, you'd have realized that yasuo does 90% on auto crits and 75% on q crits.

Shiznyte1 votes

that 10% makes a huge difference im sure.... LUL

Spicy Rice1 votes

Kinda does when you are a squishy melee diver

Shiznyte1 votes

Yasuo isn't squishy. he builds item 3046 item 3022 item 3047 there is 22% damage reduction in there and 700 HP. not to mention he can continue to build tanky stats if he wants... Also his focus shield benefits from the tanky stats and he can get it 1-3 times per fight if hes smart and it benefits from the tanky stats making him very hard to kill. he is also extremely hard to hit because of his mobility.

Spicy Rice1 votes

TIL 700 hp, 30 armor, 12% damage reduction and 10 reduction on auto damage makes a champion not be squishy, even though they have some of the worst base defensive stats, and defensive stat scalings in the game

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Where is the magic recist? Where is the armor? I mean having a lot of health doesnt matter if you have no armor and magic recist. Exhaust and your still fucked. edit: Just look at his build path, He has to get at least 2 items to be usefull+ boots. so you have 3 items left to buy something usefull like tanky shit.

Shiznyte1 votes

Good thing hes a strong laner and has no mana so CSing with skills is extremely easy, Yasuo is a ticking time bomb. As for magic resist i only listed the 3 core items he has 3 other inventory slots that he can fill with w/e he wants MR is in that category. Visage is nice if you have life steal, Maw is nice if you want the shield. You act like Yasuo is a weak champion early and getting items early is hard... he is a great early game champion and farming is very easy on him so getting gold is easy as heck! Also for the record, early on HP is a more effective tank stat than MR or Armor, so building HP early is great for survival.

Shiznyte1 votes

As for exhaust... that screws over just about everyone. so if your only counter play is a summoner spell on a 210 second CD that beats literally every damage champion that is not much counter play. Also he can just run summoner 1 if you want to bring summoner spells into the discussion and that beats exhaust.

Yasuo gets fucked over late due to passive his prime is mid game

SuperCosmicHobo1 votes

I mean he has two passives, not much champs get that.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

True. but his E damage on teamfights lategame is very very low. His W deals no damage. Only damage abilities are Q AA and Ult.

SuperCosmicHobo1 votes

E is just utility like. If it did damage and scaled with ad, it'd be very strong. His cool downs are so low, it's not a problem compared to many champs.

A Fcking Dragon1 votes

it actually has an ad scaling

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Ye it has a 20% AD bonus xd, imagine you have 300 AD (300AD is a lot) you get +60dmg

Want me to make a list of all the champions that have two passives once I get out of work? I assure you, its way more than you think. Some even have three and four.

SuperCosmicHobo1 votes

There's plenty of champions with worse passives, Lissandra's passive is worthless lategame when you mana isn't a problem no more. Same nunu.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

In my opinion what the problem with Yasuo is why people hate him is because of his Passive Flow Shield, and Wind Wall. And with this Wind Wall nerf i think he is fine after.

You didn't answer my question, nor are you even staying on the original point of the comment.

Do you -- Want me to introduce you to the much larger list of champions with 2+ passives in the game, something you said "not all champions get"?

SuperCosmicHobo1 votes

Dont need to, it's about 65+ champions, but that includes skills that give you passive. What I was trying to say was that plenty of champions have bad passives that are not so useful. The reason why so many champs get lateral passives is due to the bit more lacky initial passive. Like when Nunu gained growth upon eating jungle minions for x seconds. I guess you can say more of minor passives on passive compared to Yasuo's two passives. It's like saying Yasuo has a free barrier every about 5-9 seconds of walking and double crit. Champions like Bard, passive synchronizes. Spawn chimes, and collect for speed and power, simple. Vladimir, ap to hp vice versa but it's still can be considered as one passive because there are not two separate placeholders stating that there are two passives. I'm talking about genuine passives with double descriptions. Like Kalista's oath sworn or martial poise, two skills are lacking without another. Even then Kalista's oath sworn is still considered her ultimate usage only and significantly weakens Kalista late game because she's missing one item slot for such a simple passive. I don't see any true fall back to Yasuo's double passive other than walk and gain a shield and minus 10% crit damage (Which is nothing when infinity edge covers that hole). I know Darius has a tri-passive but fall back to him is his slow speed, won't catch anything that runs faster than him and is actually not over powered.

ASNC Malegebien2 votes

Uhm not totally true. Yasuo lategame if he is 15-5 is just way to strong because of his windwall play. I admit his mid game is strong after PD and IE. But the problem why people hate Yasuo is because of his windwall lategame. It has a width of 500 and it stand there for 3.75sec.

xGunna11 votes

remove windwall and give him long range E buff hat last 5 sec and can be used on wards or allies minions and champions

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

I think longer E buff cant be a thing because imagine if i stand next to someone, if i E+Q him i would miss it because it would go to far. Using E on ward's is possible in my opinion. On ally minions is way to overpowered to escape ganks.

xGunna11 votes

what about using it only once

like lee sin can escape with wards

xGunna11 votes

with passive refresh when e pressed

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Like i said, Yasuo E on wards is a pretty good idea. But this will get SOO much hate from the community, that leads to 92% banrate xd

JustMonika132 votes

This would break Yasuo even more. One of his weaknesses in lane is that it's nigh impossible for him NOT to push lane, making him succeptable to ganks. Allowing him to escape these ganks effortlessly ISNT the way to go.

Velfrith1 votes

What?, you must play against some very bad yasuos, 60% of the reason people play him its because of how smooth and fun using E+Q is, i swear to god that will never get old for me, but saying a yasuo cant freeze its like saying supports cant carry (Sona, Brand).

Maybe a little stretched with the 60% and examples but you get the point

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

If the lane is like here https://gyazo.com/7c6084bd32cd813df4353463411694f9 its hard to farm against a matchup like Fizz.

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Pretty sure he is supposed to be bad early game and meh late game compared to mid game. his windwall size doesn't really make up his entire strength

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

The windwall size is not the problem, the problem is the windwall. This make's his lategame windwall counterable + with the attspeed growth hes attackspeed will scale a little bit. And the E buff earlygame is deserved. Because imagine you are getting ganked your laner autoattacks the wall and the jungler the wall is destroyed. Because lvl 1 wall has 2 Wall Health.

Doozku1 votes

He's supposed to be a late game god, that's the point of the champion. His early game should be shit to compensate so he can't just get 2 kills in lane and snowball super hard after.

ASNC Malegebien1 votes

Well, in my opinion his lategame is to strong, with this windwall nerf/rework he is way better counterable in lategame
