Supporting rethought
Ok, so throughout the patch history and major league meta changing people have taken champions into the support role who weren't "support" champs. -Annie: huge burst potential, long AA range (good for poking) ect. -Brand: same as Annie, however his ult is more dangerous when there more enemy champions in bot lane when compared to mid. And others.
Supporting used to be about sitting back and doing absolutely nothing. Besides healing and other ally friendly abilities a support champ felt lack luster. But, supporting is important! When I joined around Season 3, I just chose support cause noone wanted it, and naturally I played Janna and whirlwinded the whole minion wave. I didn't understand 'Support' as a concept first before choosing the role.
In saying all of this I want to ask others to maybe continue broadening the horizons for support champs. I hate people shooting my ideas down because my name isnt Faker or BunnyFooFoo, ideas can belong to anyone and just because I may not play as well as the pros doesn't mean my ideas arent viable.
I need a lil help with this idea.
Ziggs Support!
Pros: Alot of poke, passive allows for nice damage on both laners and cause you're not going for kills you don't HAVE to spam your abilities which means combos (and the mana needed) should always be ready when engaging a fight in bot. Alot of CC; slow and knock-up. Like Brand cause his ult can potentially hit two people it's used more efficiently than if you only threw it at one person. It does a nice amount of flat damage and will be avoided by enemies but in bot lane YOU (as Ziggs) are not the most dangerous, the ADC is and so you can use it to "kite" the enemy giving them the choice to get hit or run into ADC. Either way, if played right the enemy will do one of a couple things: 1- Burn flashes, barriers, exhausts and such or 2- Die
With passive on AA Ziggs can do nice damage to either lane enemy.
With passive on W He can get early towers after 2 successful kills or retreats.
Cons: Squishy, requires mana, cannot heal or shield ADC and because of ranged AA he cannot (as effectively) use a Relic Shield. Entirely magic damage so if your team has an AP Mid and Jungle the enemy team will already be building MR making you useless (not entirely but keep in mind). Requires communication with ADC (as all supports should). Skillshots require practice to land and NOT STEAL THE CS.
With these all in mind I'd like feedback or maybe someone telling me theyve tried it in ranked and it works for the them or doesn't work. Heck I'd like to see this as the next Dark Horse.

See these champs, they ALL have the tag "support" and how many play by passively sitting there and healing? Two. These two
