This game is old

So, I've been playing this game since season 3, and before you call me a scrub or make fun of me, I've improved at the game every season and always ended in a higher rank with my peak being at gold and with my ranked and normal games I have like 2000 games played But anyway, how do people play this game for so long? It's been the same thing for the past 3 years and I wouldn't doubt it for the seasons before I played. Yeah they add champions, items and reworks but it's still the same old game play that it's always been. Riot can make as many changes as they want and make it feel new for like the next week but then it just returns to the same thing. Anyways, to wrap this up, the game just feels old and then hasn't been that big of a change in the 3 years that I played besides like the Summoners Rift rework and the marksmen update.

On the contrary, things are constantly evolving in the game. Who's available, who's strong, the best build paths and strategies, re-balancing and mechanical changes. While the game at it's core is still "Push lanes, gets Nexus", it's the intricacies behind getting to that point and how they change through time that keep me playing, personally.

Agreed, but it's the same thing as WoW(Which I don't play mind you.). The game doesn't change much over time, it's the reason you start playing. People stay for the community, friends, and experience you get playing it. Been playing since right before the end of season 1. I may stop for a bit every now and then but I come back because the game constantly grows, and you get to watch it happen. Much like the differences in eras of sports the game doesn't change, but HOW you play might. :) Hope this one mans opinion on the subject helps. Now mind you this is my reason, not everyone's. Take care and have a good day.

For me and my friends it's the constant sense of improvement and perfecting play. This is only made more interesting under the constantly evolving environment of the game. Me and my friends have been playing since early Season 1 (I was the second latest of them at the Irelia update). The other important thing for us is to not let this game become the only game we play, since you can get serious burn-out that way.
