Omega Squad Veigar and Pug'Maw conflict Riots philosophy on skins being confusing.

First off I'm not bashing the skin, I think it looks great, your team did a great job. I especially love the details that went into his facial expressions.

But I am a little confused about Riots philosophy on making skins that can be confusing to players, especially newer ones.

I can't tell if this is Veigar or the newest yordle ADC. He doesn't have his iconic hat which is so-so, but his gun along with auto animation and W sounds make me feel he is a new yordle ADC rather than an AP champion. I understand thematically Omega Squad is a military combat line, however, I find it really strange that an AP champion like Veigar resembles an ADC so much.

The community felt the same way about Pug'Maw about how the skin was very different than the classic and would be confusing to players as it did not share some details of its original identity like the machine gun mouth.

Is it safe to say that the philosophy of skins in which Riot did not want to confuse players is a philosophy of the past?

I always thought that Veigar's icon was the big glove.

Veigar's Icon has, and always be, his massive glove. It's consistent in all skins, being bigger and more noticeable. As for it confusing new players..... how often do you expect them to run into an omega squad Veigar. Not to mention just, look at his kit. You can find in it the store, and even without looking at it, the main champ screen for him tells you he's a mage. Let's also mention that his default look, is a black mage. One of the most Iconic magic users in gaming.

The iconic things about Veigar are his huge glove and (in game), the straight long staff in his left hand.

Guess what OS Veigar has in his left in-game?
