I KNOW RIGHT!!! I like.. didn't know what to do with myself. I ended up painting but I was like o.o NO

Eximilitary17 votes

yeah, the whole event was totally unexpected and it's super awesome that riot still pushed through just for its players!

You mean for the money?

It's true though

HighH19 votes

it's almost as if they need players to actually play to make money.Stop being assholes.

R FLASH XD1 votes

No, they need the players to log in to get their money

Eximilitary3 votes

riot would also receive tons of backlash. although riot may be greedy sometimes, they really do interact with the players and stuff.

Aír3 votes

So sad. It is not like people need money to survive day to day and make a living. Being an employee should be volunteer work and we should all live in shelters and not pay any bills. Stupid money. Shesh. Good thing this game is free to play. They should make skins free too and stop paying their employees as well. I am sure that would bring their game more success and will last longer.

I NEVER said that it's not normal for them to do it for money. The guy above me said that they do it "just for it's players" wich let's be honest they are probably not.

Rioters cares about their players. They really do. They have to because we are what keep their game running. Even from all the rioters I have talked to or read posts of on the boards, they really do care. They aren't the selfish moneyhoggers that everyone seems to believe they are. They are actual nice people who really want to help the players out and improve the experience for them. For as many as they can.

For doing their job? Why does that deserve special praise?

Knight Sky7 votes

Because there staying up all night past there work hours to get it back up and a lot of people are complaining anyways because the servers are down even though it's not there fault

R FLASH XD3 votes

Or maybe it was just the night turn...?

StoneyBaloney5112 votes

So what ... this guy wants to say thank youthank you and you all are giving him hate and riot hate.

VvVVvV2 votes

Its not hate. Like i just said in another post...not everyone works just in the day and on weekdays. Componies like this do have night shifts....especially in the tech support area and in majority of them tech support is 24 hours. No one lost sleep over it. The people on shift just did their jobs. Nothing wrong with saying good job...but dont blow it up to more than it was.

Staying up late into the night, long after work has ended on a non-overtime salary, does not qualify as doing one's job. Therefore Riot deserves praise.

Thanks, Riot. I know a lot of us really aren't that grateful, but deep down, I think we all thank you. <3

Most companies have 24 hour tech help service. Especially in this case, being a major video game company, Riot's tech was simply doing their job. No one lost sleep over it or stayed extra, because they work 24 hours...Lol

Considering Riot has one product that is predicated on having working servers at all times, you can be absolutely sure they have an emergency team on-call 24/7. That's not overtime, it's part of the job.

Now just enable loss prevented for games during the DDOS and it will be as if it never happened.

Aeszarck5 votes

Yes, thank you so much!

Knight Sky5 votes

Yeah the poor guys probably worked all night on Sunday, meanwhile I was sleeping

Tali Morrigan4 votes

Would you believe it if your post was the first I've seen tonight not complaining about the servers? I completely agree with you though. Kudos to you.

@Riot: Thank you everyone for all of the work you are doing today, on a Sunday of all days. We are patient people (mostly....maybe....). Hope everything goes smoothly on your end of things. Thanks!

Thank goodness, I was getting sick of Gosu playing "League Of Angels 2". :/

CorkieBear3 votes

In case you didn't know it was claimed they were hacked by PoodleCorp. Recently, they hacked Redmercy and WatchMojo. I wonder what they will do next? But yes, good job on Riot's part for getting the servers back up late at night.

King of Mongoose3 votes

it's not like they can just not fix it

ByakuyaTwerkami3 votes

I'm surprised they got it back working as quick as they did. Props to Riot.

On a side note, did Riot kill some puppies lately? Or shoot an old lady? Because it seems like no matter what they do there's always a group of people painting them out to be only slightly less awful than Adolf Hitler.

Credit where credit is due, that was fast.

Voidrey2 votes

Even if that's their job, I guess they deserve some credit for bringing them back up

Leon Etoile2 votes

Do you thank the McDonald's fry cook?

Crowe Stalker3 votes

Well I mean, some people thank the person at the window or the register when they are handed their meal. A little common courtesy never hurt anyone.

Dealth1 votes

I'm pretty sure poodlecorp just decided to give it back like they did with the youtube accounts.

Swiftdeath2evil1 votes

Thank you riot.

Obungo 1 votes

So they can waste 10 hours on sunday night fixing the servers, but they can't tweak a few numbers to balance game breaking and OP champions that make the game 9242% worse and unenjoyable.

Thanks Riot.
