Actually, by being forcibly shoehorned into a bot lane duo, a lot of Mordekaiser players including myself will probably stop playing morde, and new people will pick him up to take their spots.
I personally think Soraka would be a strong support for him (he'd never have to leave lane!)
The only viable place where Morde could see play, would be the support actually....

I'm assuming they don't want to waste resources completely relaunching him (which is what he needs, his kit is toxic as fuck and his theme is just..Not fitting with his VO or his kit. Seems like a last ditch attempt to make him viable before they bury him in a hole for a few years until his relaunch is announced.

Yeah. . . So, like, why do they want him to duo? It doesn't make sense. After all, they want this rework to make him more similar to his lore.
He doesn't have many friends. Or any, probably. Not even close with the other Shadow Isles champions, it would seem.
Plus, some people hate duo lanes. Like me. So now I can't play Mordekaiser anymore.
