Vlad the Omni-Champion?

So ive been experimenting with vlad. Mainly because i missed him cause i stopped playing him for like a year or maybe nearly 2 years. Either way its been so long i cant even remember when he was last nerfed.

Recently i've found thanks to some of the jungle tweaks and items in the game. Also my recently completed vlad page. I seem to be able to play any position with vlad. Wacky of an idea it maybe but its completely viable. Even though he is honestly and clearly nerfed from the vlad i loved he can still sustain.

Starting on the jungler set up his items should be hunters and 2 potions. (jungler spells are ghost smite) Rune page giving 6% spell vamp, 11 ap, 18 hp regen at 18, and 7.8 magic pen. (im still tweaking this page maybe but i like it so far) Masteries give 3% vamp/life steal, all gold perks, alchemist, wander, intelligence, Veterans scars 3/3, recovery 2/2, tough skin 2/2, bladed armor (for all lanes i use the same set up for masteries but with the block and unyielding)

I get a leash on frog and if they are nice on blue for a bit too mainly because vlads jungle game is a tad weak. I return if im super low and farm until i get Magnus trail blazer as my first item that i rush right away (for the needed ap and the juicy 20% cd. With this set up just grabbing blue gives me 40% Cd). If you do well you should be able to get a maxed magnus before level 6. Next I try to get to level 6 asap and then farm until i know where the enemy jungler is and reinforce the lane they are trying to gank and out sustain the enemy jungler. I then continue jungling until i am low. I use trail blazer to regain alot of hp and im ready to keep jungling for a while more. The sustain helps me out farm the other jungler making it a race to out level and out build.

Since you are jungling its nice to have a stronger heal. So I recommend going to more spell vamp via gunblade. The extra ad helps a bit more when ur abilitys are on cd and u get use out of hextex revolver(also the life steal mastery. you get to double up on both sides of that mastery with gunblade). Unless u have alot of people with scaling needing the boost get ancients instead. However with the magnus, the cd masteries, and ancients you waste the masteries 5% bonus. True enough though if u want the ancients over gunblade and its activatable you can swap the cd masterys with runic and enchanted armor and it should be just fine. My build was magnus, rylais, gun blade, death cap, lonain boots.

For Top laning vlad i go with this rune page and masteries but with unyielding and block. As my starting items i get tome and 2 potions thanks to gold masteries. And my general gambit is to sit there and try to cs farm but when ever the other player comes to cs theirs i hit then with a Q and when i get lvl two. I go E>Q>E>Q when they try to cs until i force them out of lane to heal. Thanks to having that early tome and not needing mana I should be able to stack alot of gold. With that gold i buy void staff as first item. Mostly because some people will buy mr trying to counter my damage. Saddly to say most of the time its to late and i have my voids and they are getting shredded. All i have to do is to watch for the impending gank im sure they are asking for and go the other way. I use ghost & heal spells to disengage. I usually need to use pool as well. Ghost can be cast while pooled and heal can be cast right after. Thats really all thats to vlad top lane. Havent seen a good counter to it yet. If the top laner is an unusual champion i usually stack ap hard. Opening with a Rylai's instead of void due to the same starting item builds into it as well. While providing exactly what vlad needs Hp , Ap , and tasty cc spam

For mid vlad I used to use a hp regen quins, hp regen seals, and MR marks & Glyphs. However that is highly outdated due to all the assasins in mid lately. Honestly i would stay with the other rune page i mentioned earlier as its a better all around page that isnt so specific. However if you are counter picking a mage you know will be mid; Like a malzihar this page im mentioning is perfect to hold your lane firmly. For items same thing tome and 2 hp potions. As for item to go for first i suggest hextex revolver and chose either gun blade or ancients with your prefered masteries adjustments for those items. After getting hextex revolver upped go straight for spirit vistage and you are golden their is hardly anything they can do to you. When the jungler trys to gank simply disengage pool, ghost, heal if needed.

For support same old tired theme tome 2x hp potions, but when you get down there you are working with and adc. Follow all the same rules a normal support follows try not to ks or steal alot of cs. Use your Q to zone the enemy hard. Weaken minion waves with a E or 2. Use W to provent your death or if you have the hp for it provent ganks by slowing them down. Try not to use w to provent ganks if 3 people would be stacked just above you. If that ever happens you propbably werent warding enough or at the right times. Items are pretty much the same through out the lanes, but adjust as u see fit in bot lane

Vlad could probably do adc, but why would u want that. His sutain is decent enough stacking ap and if they build mr all u need to do is go striaght to voids as ur first item u finish.
