wtf is with the matchmaking?

I placed in silver 2 climbed back and forth to gold 5 promo (all of these games were pretty close). lost the promotion series by 1 game and now im getting paired with people who are still in their placements and it seems im getting the dumbest team mates that dont know how to play from behind or how to just play in general. The things they do are turret diving 1v2, failing to build defensively when behind, failing to rotate at all, etc. now i have descended non stop all the way back through s1 into s2 again and im still getting paired with people who are fucking clueless so the descent continues.

Solo queue > Flex queue. Solo queue's matchmaking is actually good and matches you with people around your rank. (If you're high silver it'll match you with high silvers and low golds) Unlike flex queue, which can literally, and has put unranked people against challengers. I would suggest avoiding flex queue, as its matchmaking is absolute garbage and the likeliness of you fighting a team similar to your mmr is really low.

Riot amazingly designed matchmaking puts you in a team with potato teammates if you dare to win too much.

Yeah, I know how that goes. I just made Platinum and suddenly it feels like I've been dumpstered into Silvers with "teammates" who repeatedly make stupid decisions.

Know the feeling. Just lost a game where my silver 1 ADC fed the enemy Plat ADC. Considering this is something like a 40th percentile against a 92 percentile player....yeah. It's alot bigger than bronze 3 vs silver 3 for instance. Please Riot, design better algorithms.
