Are you insane? Nerfing his shadow is the best way to do it. Without a shadow zed can't do much.

lol no, they need to hit his damage more. He still farms way too safely and has virtually no risk still.

Lolyes. The risk comes from his shadow cooldowns. They hit that and hit it fairly hard. 4 seconds longer until level 14 is significant. He's an assassin, and a single target assassin at that. He's meant to deal a truck ton of damage because it's single target. Assassins like Talon specialize in AOE so they deal a bit less damage, and assassins like Ekko have tons of utility so they deal a bit less damage. But Zed is built around single target, so he will specialize in single, high target damage.

Hit his damage, dramatically increase his utility or reduce the effectiveness of QSS and Zhonyas.

There is no chance to punish him. He throws out his shadow, slams you with his shurikens and then backs off and waits for his energy to replenish. If he misses oh well he just waits 22 seconds before even coming back into range and then repeats until 6. Also, your comment wreaks of the assumption that he has no way to do damage when his shit is on cool down which isn't true at all, he still does a shit ton of damage at early levels even with his auto and passive. Zeds kit is still way to safe for the reward and damage he offers.

That's a large chunk of time. The lane is yours for 22 seconds. And he's far more susceptible to ganks.

If i die to zed under turret one more time all while i have dodged 2/3 of his poke AND while playing a champion that "hard counters" him, im gonna twist my nipples off.

Your fault. If he misses most of his spells and you hard counter him, you were heavily outplayed in lane and stayed so that you had like 200 health left. Don't pick Kayle and assume the game is won. No counter exists where there's nothing the other champ can do. Play smart, don't blame your flaws on a champion.

Actually, no it wasn't. i had 473 hp at level 5 sitting under turret farming and he didn't even have his ult up and he took one turret shot while killing me with one rotation of his spells and one auto.

Why the fuck would you sit under a tower at half health against a type of character who thrives off of successful risks AND has a built in execute? The only thing he's missing for a successful dive is hard CC, which is what makes it even more risky which is why his potential rewards are allowed to be even higher (i.e. his kill potential), but it seems like your stupidity and lack of game knowledge acts as a natural CC so nevermind about that. Take this advice and get better.

oh no no no you don't understand, i was playing as Lissandra who "hard counters" him because he's a healthy assassin...go kill yourself. Zed has been a problem ever since i started playing 3 years ago and nothing is ever done to him besides little love taps.

Lissandra is a counter due to her ult and her root. At 473 HP, it makes sense that his spell rotation along with Thunderlords plus an auto kills you. It's very simple math.

Zed has the weakness of counterbuilding which hits him harder than most other champions. AD and AP champions have a way to invalidate his ult. Under 1v1 conditions, Zed will defeat most champions and sometimes even go toe to toe with counters due to the nature of his assassination style. In team fights, he drops off hard, especially if proper counters are in place. Falls off very hard. That is why his late game is a drop off point and most Zed's need to work on finishing the game before late where there are lots of tanky champions and counter items.

473 at level 5 on Lissandra is not half hp, its upwards of 2/3.

I have no issues with his kill potential and i think he is a unique champion. The problem i have is with the high kill potential paired with his safe (and devastating) poke and farming along with his ability to spam his spells at no real cost because of how quickly his energy regenerates. Zed still has no actual weakness even if a moderately skilled Zed is playing on him
