League Gets Increasingly More Boring
My thoughts on why this game has become more boring is standing on the notion that this game has become centered around burst damage with an average of 20 minute games. Most everyone enjoyed a bit longer games like 30 to 45 minutes. I remember when my buddy told me about this game and I asked how long does each match usually last and he said mostly 30 to 45 minutes with exceptions of 1 hour games being quite rare. This was back in season 1 and 2. Recently most of my games consist of the same dynamics with the same overall boring play style of burst to win. There is no more real strategy in this game unless you consider out bursting the burst-er a strategy. Mage items have been over-tuned because of the sustain the sorcery rune provides with free ap and free mana and free hidden damage. I just sit there and wait for an all in and hopefully try not to get 100-0 by another enemy so I can at least farm or engage in team fights. This game is all about funneling your gold to one hyper carry and watching that hyper carry take out all objectives and win you the game. The main problem to this game are the 20 minute run times. Mages get over 100 ap by 6 minutes... That is insane scaling and unhealthy for the game.
