Riot Tells Their Player Base Lies on Smurfing

In the great words of Billy Maze a man who could sell you anything to the point of a selling off a pile of cow shit as a new cleaning agent we have League of Legends Developers who keep trying to tell the majority of the player base that they do not endorse or support smurfing and tell you and I that it is "complicated to stop" when in reality it is not. In a day full of technological advancements and more sophisticated ways to organize and attain more information than ever before Riot can still not determine if they have a potential smurf making a new account. I have a solution and it involves a very simple but efficient way to stop a person from wanting to spam new accounts on league of legends. I know this may seem barbaric and unfair but blame the smurfs who decided to try in the first place. Ban the net users IP Addressing or send them a secondary verification email that questions if they have been previously banned or if this is their 5th account or something along the lines of questions that would prove them to be a smurf or booster if they purposefully answered by lying and then punish them by making them pay a fee for lying because it would hurt your player base... OH WAIT THEY LOVE SMURFS BECAUSE THEY STREAM THEIR CONTENT IN A NONCONSTRUCTIVE WAY FOR THE OTHER 9 PLAYERS BUT STILL MAKES PEOPLE WANNA JOIN AND MAKE VETERANS WANNA LEAVE AND WAIT FOR IT...…….. MONEY!!!! Look Riot is all about the money because they are a company and I respect they need money and I understand why they would want more, but to lie about discouraging smurfs when they make you the money is just a joke AND OVERALL BAD BUSINESS ETHICS. Riot says they have very sensitive statistics for ranked gameplay but in reality when you have a pro or challenger tier player making 20 new accounts for the pre-season and get them all close to or at their tier level that then makes veterans with 1500 plus games on their MAIN ACCOUNT impossible to rise because they are having to go up against multiple false player base statistics or even the smurfs themselves with accounts played by one person who has stacked the metaphorical deck of ranked cards against you. It makes the ranking system fail at its core design. It is suppose to keep a small percentage of people in plat and high diamond who are the best of the best and the majority in silver or bronze like you and me typically. -_- If you have so many multiple accounts being played by one individual in more than one area of ranked play then it seems like someone who is possibly better either your buddy or even you cannot rise because as they increase in the ranks it becomes exponentially harder to get anywhere. If you don't agree with any of my statements then good for you don't read it. But Riot is choosing to make excuses and not make any notable changes to stop smurfing at its core. I ACTAULLY WANT RIOT TO INCLUDE SMURFING IF IT MEANS THE SMURFS ARE COACHING THE PLAYERS ON EITHER SIDE. But smurfs only play for themselves in a team based game. It is quiet ironic for Riot to secretly encourage smurfs indirectly by doing nothing ON A STRICTLY TEAM BASED GAME just to make more money but in the long run it will kill the player base and then the money and then it will kill the game or "milk the money cow" Alistar that is now turning into trash. Season 8 is a prime example of a Billy Maze selling shit and people are stupid enough to believe it ------> Riot.

Not to mention the collateral damage. IP bans can take out college dorms, coffee shops, cyber cafes, libraries, and other places where multiple gamers play from.

IP bans don't work. Simply unplug router. Wait a couple minutes. Plug router back in. New IP address.

Sorry Betty, you can't play the game because Billy was a toxic player and got banned. He has brought dishonor to our family and our cow.

Lol wow what a roller coaster. In a world full of technological advancements, your solution is one that "may seem barbaric and unfair" lol... as if Riot hadnt thought of IP bans. Jesus man.

Ip bans are easily circumvented, VPN's, setting a static one, or simply changing your router (and isp's do cycle IP's once in a while)

besides, since most of the playerbase peaks at about silver (or bronze in this new system) smurfing wouldnt actually bring most of the playerbase higher then they currently are, and they would be at exactly the same level.

also dear gosh man, please, paragraphs. its just difficult to read a giant wall of text.

The money and time they would waste on trying to police for smurfs would be unwise. Working at a tech company I speak from experience that it would be such a waste and yes Riot is a business and has to think of the profits. It’s not a bad thing.

Also many smurfs are moved up in mmr quickly so the chances of you being in a match with a high elo player is smaller than what you think. I’ve only gone against maybe 1 or 2 smurfs in 4 years.
