Can anyone give tips to silver player?

Hi, iv'e been playing league for probably 3 years and I main support. I have been struggling a lot playing ranked and normals for some reason. I have been a silver player the past 2 years and I cannot get better or rank up and I have no idea why. I tried out most to all of the different supports, I watch countless of youtube videos on my champ and guides on them hours on end. I have a ton of knowledge in my head but in game I am totally awful and it's kinda pissing me off because with all of the time i spent towards this game, ive been silver 3-4 within a 3 years span. Play around 5 hours a day on weekdays and more on weekends. I mostly play nami, braum, soraka and blitzcrank. I die averagely 8-10 times a game which im kinda clueless on too because i die most of the time alone vs in teamfights.

Could anyone give me some tips or play some games with me to see what im doing wrong? Im trying to improve but whatever I try I get no results and its pathetic. Thanks guys

Stop playing Support and play a real Role. You're probably playing Supp because you want your team to carry you. You have to carry your own games and you can't do that by playing Supp.

When it really comes down to it experiencing the game yourself is what makes you a better player, not the youtube league guides that are spammed everyday based on what the most broken champions are at the moment, though that doesnt seem like a big problem given you aren't looking just for any broken champion to play as but im just saying. I dont think the champions are the problem with you given you've played the game long enough and likely on the same champions like you said, but its just your strategy and game sense instead. This once again should really be something that you learn through failure by having played the game long enough, such as "I did that, it didnt work, what was the reason" instead of just making the same mistakes over and over again. There is way too much to go over given im not being paid to give a huge guide, and its not like im "high elo" anyway given i've only peaked mid-diamond. Dont you have some friends on league over the years who are higher elo who can do voice chat and tell you the mistakes you make and how to be better?

Also, while support CAN carry it is still the least-carry oriented role so you either need to get really good at a "carry support" like Pyke/Nautilus, or pick up a mage like brand, zyra, morgana as they can easily carry given how good you are on them. Otherwise, maybe try a new role and figure out you have strengths suited for another role.

Stay in lane more (exp on support is vastly vastly underrated) but only when it’s safe... I see lots of people backing and backing and backing instead stating and soaking that exp... your abilities do more the more levels you have

Don’t roam around the map... that’s “LCS stuff.” Stay in your lane always. Get that Exp from the dying minions.

If no one else is doing it (which is more then 50 percent of games in Silver)... move around the map and clear the minion waves. You’re taking farm but it’s better then letting them crash and damage your towers. I can’t tell you how many games when I’m auto filled support I have to clear minion waves to save the team.

Rule of thumb in Silver: the team that does more rotations and SAFE (without dying) attacks on the minions will win through more pressure.

^

That’s pretty much the game no matter what role you pick. Hit those minions, don’t die... your team will be lazy and hungry for fights but clearing MUST be done. if more minions are moving towards the ennemy base... your winning (and losing if it’s the other way).

It’s all about not dying, EXP, and minion pressure.

U more than likely need a better understanding of the style champs u play. Ur dying alot in ur games, so probably re evaluate ur positioning, and map awareness. Tied into the ull prob need to learn better warding habits.

Also norms are trash for learning anything outside of basic mechanics. Game quality is to low to learn shit bcuz riot refuses to fix its matchmaking system. So i would just get over ranked anxiety and spam ranked games if u rly wanna learn.

if u know these 2 things and actually do it to will get diamond just like a smurf . 1- VISION wins the game for you. 2- PLAY MAKING. alot of players ( not alot actually all of them) in low elo they dont know how or when or where start a team fight. if u do that for them and make plays. u win the game

I can't really help you other than to say can't avoid what you can't see and cant be the first to unload dmg before other can respond if they see you before you see them. If you can focus on improving vision and vision denial. Get sweeper after getting your ward quest completed, and buy reds. If you can improve keeping vision all game in area around where you will be in the near future and keeping enemy wards removed when appropriate. That can and will swing a game. I just really honestly hate playing this game in the dark.

Pros overused every warding method out there to make games no fun for riot in prior seasons; that they slowly been removing some of the vision from the game consistently over time. Junglers use to be able to buy a sitestone; use to be able to buy what was called a trackers knife to ward with. Use to be other jungler items in distant past that would place wards. anybody use to be able to buy green wards that lasted like 3 or 4 minutes. u use to be able to have more than one red in play back early in the days when it was a pink ward. I tried to look it up but don't remember and can't tell what the limit was. patch 3.14 is where it said it was modified to be limited to 1. Doesn't say from what :P.

Its just low duration yellows for laners, a red and yellows for jungler and hopefully crabs; and every other source of vision is on your back. If you can do so safely because one of the bot laners recalled or you spot enemy jungler way up top and if you have a champion that has cc and can take crab quickly go take the river scuttler crab for vision. Morg takes them real well and there are others that do so just as well. If you cc the crab it loses its magic resist and armor and takes dmg quicker during a set amount of time after the cc. I mention that cause crabs are vision/wards as much as anything else is now. Ur jungler might prefer it cause of xp/gold but better either of u go get it than enemy jungler and ur jungler may be in base or up top somewhere; but if ur jungler is near or trying to take it still can go help or just give him moral support incase enemy jungler shows up to challenge or bot has vision and tries to cut him off from you.

How long have you been gaming in general? 3 years on league is a good amount of time but if you've only been gaming for 3 years you will be at a disadvantage in terms of awareness/mechanical skill.

You die way too much, especially on nami. Nami has really strong lane pressure so make sure to w on cooldown. Make sure you don't buy ardent first when you get an adc like ezreal since they use abilities more than autos. Go for athenes instead. Nami is great, maybe not so much in silver.

You also should buy more control wards. I usually buy 5-15 per game. Always ward objectives. I suggest playing more aggressive supports like brand and zyra since adcs in silver are pretty trash. You just cant depend on them to carry. I couldn't get out of silver playing support so i just climbed to plat with mid. Support is a pretty bad role to climb in silver honestly.

because i die most of the time alone vs in teamfights.

Watch your map, if you can see everyone then you can roam, get vision etc. If no ones on the map then assume they are on an objective or in a bush trying to make a pick. Youll die less thinking like that.

Tldr: Play brand and zyra, time summoner spells, buy more control wards, ward more and die less.

You die way too much, start respecting enemy vision, rotations, clearly vision with your team and not alone, spam help pings if you wanna clear, i am pretty sure that your game sense is off.

Add me as friend on “BeckyBecks” but only if your flex rank is silver II else can’t duo. I’ll do my best to provide pinpoint your mistakes ^_^ your choice tho. Or just add me and I’ll watch your replays.

I tried out most to all of the different supports,

Trying out every support that's out their will indeed be helpfull to known what you play against. But I wouldn't focus on trying to master everyone of them when playing in a silver elo.

I watch countless of youtube videos on my champ and guides on them hours on end. I have a ton of knowledge in my head but in game I am totally awful

I have a feeling your trying out to many things on to many different champions. Watching video's is nice but I have a feeling you look to much of them without watching your own gameplay. Use the replay system to your advantage and start watching your own games. When possible watch it on a slower speed so you can determ your own mistakes and solve them for future games.

and it's kinda pissing me off because with all of the time i spent towards this game, ive been silver 3-4 within a 3 years span. Play around 5 hours a day on weekdays and more on weekends.

Spending so much time is not always productive. Instead of playing 5 hour league of legends. Play 2 hours & take the other 2 hours to watch the games (preferable the games you lost).

I mostly play nami, braum, soraka and blitzcrank. I die averagely 8-10 times a game which im kinda clueless on too because i die most of the time alone vs in teamfights.

That's indeed a hard combination in lower mmr. Enchanters tend to be very team depended. Braum is not that good in lower mmr (he's more of a time bomb that is team depended where you can't rely on in lower mmr). Blitz is fine but ones your in high silver players tend to adapt to him & it takes more mastery to get him out of the lane fase.

Could anyone give me some tips or play some games with me to see what im doing wrong? Im trying to improve but whatever I try I get no results and its pathetic. Thanks guys

The first thing I noticed is that you pick Nami against very unfavorable matchups. In one of your games you had an Xayah adc against a Brand Lucian botlane.

The second thing I noticed is you don't build for the situation on Nami. You build item 3504 for Jhin in one of your games. Their where play of other items that would suit that situation better like item 3174. The enemy team exist almost entirely out of magic damage. So that change would probally give you an entire different game.

Question: Do you use attackmove?

This is what I recommand:

Try to stick with the same support in ranked. This way you have a better unstanding on the matchups and you will recieve less deaths when in a bad matchup.

I suggest you stick with Braum. Alternatively you can go Nami or Soraka. I feel your Nami could be OK if you would build her correctly. Try Sona her kit is similar.
