How to get teammates to stop arguing

I have recently started to play ranked and am liking it pretty much so far. The only thing that puts me one step closer to uninstalling the game is teammates arguing over the littlest stuff and then going AFK or purposefully isolating themselves from the game.

I get home from work everyday like a normal person and have time to play a few games to relax (I know this game is the opposite of relaxing but you get my point) and then out of nowhere some random teammate start something with another player and then they go at it the entire game. What makes it even better is the other teammates point fingers on who is to blame then that person goes afk and this happens more than it should. I try to keep the game going by saying "good job" and other stuff whenever someone gets a kill to keep people in spirit, doesn't work.

I main support and its starting to get a pain in the ass losing because of teammates who have the temper of a literal 2 year old, I just dont get it. Am i the only player who just says to myself "dang, someone on our team died" and carry on the rest of my game? I know blaming teammates is a so cliche excuse of losing games but im serious. When and if I make a mistake, I own up to it obviously and move on with my game and thats what everyone else should do. If its not peoples tempers going out of control, its troll but that's another story.

What i'm trying to say is, why does NO ONE have the courtesy to be nice? This is my favorite game and it's a shame how many times I uninstalled because the game wasn't fun anymore having to worry about what kind of people your'e going to be playing with. None of my friends play this game so I can't play with them and if I friend a stranger, they just delete me if we have a bad game.

Generally, when I play a game and someone rages at another player for something (support accidentally takes a kill, jungler botches a gank), I keep an eye out for the player getting raged at. They gank my lane, success or no, I thank them in chat for trying to help. I see them make a good play, tell them good job. I have found that if you have that one toxic person that is targeting a specific player and you highlight the good things that the target player is doing, the toxic one will eventually drop it. Sometimes you get lucky and your team catches your drift and everyone is just showering the jungler with praise.

If its two players fighting each other, it can get a little difficult to diffuse, but I've still used the overwhelmingly positive and complimenting the other (non-fighting) players, that sometimes the other two will stop. The moment they stop fighting, I compliment them both on something they did.

Its not 100% successful, but at least the other players that aren't involved in the fighting get some heart warming Care Bear action.

Jokes are great for diffusing situations like this. Especially lewd ones. Distract them from their conflict, or just tell both of them to shut up (Kindly)

I feel your pain...it's too bad the game is so fun. It would be a lot easier to walk away. The people here suck...League is famous for how bad its community is.

I usually say "shut up and focus on the game", "less talk more playing", or just tell my team to mute each other. If they continue to argue and flame then i just mute all party involved; ping included.
