Is it THAT difficult to balance Lee Sin?

AlphaSonic·2/1/2015, 3:50:12 PM·22 votes·2,029 views

1st Q Cast: Energy cost 120 2nd Q Cast: Restores 40 Energy.

R: Costs half of your CURRENT Energy.

IS THAT SO DIFFICULT TO TEST IN PBE!?

EDit: The rage the rage I know. But could you try it at least? ReEDit: I propose this change in his ult because it's a freaking Hard CC with a 1.0 AD scale and monstruous damage, 0 Cost and negligible CD. Instead of nerfing his damage or utility I nerf his cost.

No it's not hard to test on the PBE. But it seems that Riot either does not know Lee is crowding out other champions and making the jungle almost impossible to balance or is scared to touch him. It happens on the forums almost every time a Red responds. A different answer seems to come from each Rioter on the subject.

Then learn him if you're going to complain about him so much.

If you're tired of other people getting freelo from him, then learn it.

Unless you can't. Then you're just not good.

I don't know about the Ult, but the energy cost on his q is a good change.

THe real hammer would be to make his ward hopping cost 100 energy but restore 60 energy if he uses it on a CHAMPION or himself along with the above mentioned change.

His B.S ward hopping needs some restrictions

Remove the damage from his initial Q.

Let me rephrase your complaint, then tell me how stupid it sounds: Person 1: Naturally strong and works out Person 2: Not naturally strong and doesn't work out much

Both people apply for a manual labor job. Person 1 gets hired because they fulfill the job better. Person 2 goes to the company and says that they should break person 1's leg because it is unfair for person 1 to be more qualified.

He'd be a lot easier to balance without ward jumping. But y'know... e$ports.

Lee actually got nerfed on PBE once, but pro players complained about it and it got reverted.

I dont like lee as much as the next guy but i dont think they should put a cost on his ult. Every other energy champ has a no cost ult.

That being said i agree that maybe adding a higher cost to his Q on the first hit and refunding on second hit would make him suffer for missing his Q. Maybe doing something similar for if he Ws to a none champion or just to wards.

Riot is completely aware of lee sin, but he makes the plays so no nerfs, ever.

If you make Lee's ult cost half his resource bar then you have to make every other ult for every other champ that has a resource cost half the amount cause that is the stupidest idea for a "fix" ever.

The problem with Lee Sin is that it's hard to simultaneously balance him for competitive play and solo queue. Right now, he's a weak champion in gold, but a dominant one in LCS.

I was also considering to buy him. I'm also wondering the same, I've heard he's one of the toughest champions to master

Riot has actually talked in the past about putting huge energy costs on energy champion ults. They took the cost off of Kennen's ult and said that they had tested giving one to Shen and Akali. The basic story was that it was a huge limitation to their gameplay, but it rarely fixed their more problematic elements. It just makes the champions more frustrating to play but doesn't actually give the enemy any increased ability to respond to them. That's not a great idea.

As for testing it, they could (and maybe even have), but the PBE is only for late-stage testing. It's not where this kind of thing would actually be tested.

Riot has admitted they don't want to nerf Lee Sin because LCSBIGPLAYS. I'm not joking.

I don't have a link to it or anything but I remember seeing it posted everywhere when it happened.

It isnt, but they do not want to change him.

AnOstrichWithPMS2/1/2015, 3:53:34 PM1 votes

Riot first needs to remove a role from the game entirely.
