Which item is better to buy first? Under what circumstances is Lord Domink's Regards going to deal more damage? Vice Versa? Let's assume we're discussing basic attacks, Wheres the health difference when Blade of ruined is going to deal more damage then lord dominks?

why are you even bothering to build a last whisper item this patch? unless the enemy is building stupid amounts of armor none of the last whisper items are worth buying at all. Other than item 3033 against the likes of Mundo and even then you really shouldn't even finish it and just stick with item 3123 until the enemy starts building armor... in big quantities

It still becomes worth it to build a LW when there is a frozen heart, randuins, and Thornmail on the enemy Naut, etc.

if someone is building that much armor yes... about 95% of the time you shouldn't even bother with last whisper and like i said unless the enemy is building stupid amounts of armor then it's just not worth buying ANY last whisper item

I think if they have gotten above 200 armor (more or less 2 items worth) its worth picking up. At that point, more than 50% of their armor can be reduced by lw, and it also seems likely that they will have enough health that Lord Domink's becomes cost effective.

I think a better question to ask is, "Why am I wasting my gold on item 3035 when I could get item 1038 for the same price?". As an early-game rush item discussion I mean. Late-game, or mid-game if you can handle it, it's better to get Last Whisper because your AD is so much higher than early-game, and the Armor Penetration is so much more useful then. Early-game, you should build to prepare for mid-/late-game. As for your actual question, it depends on your Champ and what you're doing with it. If you're planning on going against Tanks often, go with item 3036. If you're planning to actually deal any sort of damage while also having sustain, go with item 3153.

It really depends on how much armor they have and how much damage you are taking. It also depends on the champion you are talking about. Kog and Vayne? I think I would take the blade regardless of anything else (on hit damage for kog W and attack speed/life steal + silverbolts).

Speaking generally though, I would have to sit down to really do the math, but I don't think its worth getting a last whisper item if your opponents have less than 200 armor. This is because last whisper only ignores bonus armor, and most champions reach around 90 armor through levels (aka not bonus armor) by level 18. Dominks might be a little different, however, because a 15% increase in damage because of health differences might make up for (or exceed) the damage bork would be providing.

Domink's doesn't provide any sustain but does provide a consistent increase in damage since it does increased damage based off of max health differences. Blade, by contrast, has sustain, but deals % current damage (okay, it has the active that is max health damage but still) which means as you wear your opponent down it becomes less and less relevant. So it sorta depends on a lot of factors.

If you are talking about rushing one of these items, the answer hands down is bork. The attack speed and sustain it provides is reason enough, but unless the opponent is rushing armor, the lw won't do you much good, and early levels there isn't much of a max health difference so you aren't even getting any use out of that.

This is a great idea for another theorycrafting post. I'll link my findings in the comments when I'm done with them.
