When the season starts does your rank reset?
When season 6 is done with preseason will everyone rank reset? Will you have to do placement games again?

Yes, so whatever rank you are currently doesn't really matter. It will be reset and you will do your placements again the the start of the season. NOTE: However your rank right now does effect your MMR which is one of the deciding factors of when you do your placements at the start of the season. For example if you were GOLD 1 in season 5, but are currently Plat 4 in preseason. You are more likely to be placed in Platinum at the start of season 6 after your placements because your MMR is higher. Of course this also depends on how your placement games go
Where you are now matters a lot - keep grinding - it will put you in better position for season start.
