The only Project Skin I have is Project Zed, guess which skin the Box gives me. Such a waste of 1500ip that I should have just used on runes. Now I have cores/skin/3first strikes in my shop cluttering it up when I can't and won't ever use them. Why can't I disenchant the skin into essence? Literally a waste of my IP which takes FOREVER to farm.
Quepha2 votesAt least that shard turns into a bunch of orange essence, be glad you aren't playing Overwatch where the currency you get from dupes is literally worthless.
Also, 1500 IP is not a lot, that's only like 1/3 of a rune page and takes barely more than a week to acquire even if you only play once per day.
Zombie SIayer1 votesThe point is that the Skin DOESNT turn into orange essence. The only option is to FUSE it with 7 Cores. Essentially paid 1500ip for a Summoner Icon. Had I know this I would have just used RP so I could use my IP for runes. However when u only have 1 Project skin out of the 8-9 you expect to get your IP's worth.

That logic makes no sense. Regardless of you getting a skin shard you liked or disliked, that doesn't change the RP/IP ratio between prices so if 150 RP was worth less to you than 1500 IP (It really shouldn't be) then you should have spent the RP regardless. Furthermore, you were aware there was a chance of the skin blueprint being for Zed when you purchased the cache so you should have been prepared for luck to possibly not go your way.
And I'm serious when I say you should not sweat over 1500 IP, that's pocket change in this game.

What is the fun in participating in an event if you end up with nothing you can use? The value/cost and choice to participate is mute in this case as I believe the overall value and intent of the event is leaving me, and possible more feeling shorted.

What if they did? What if you just got extra unlucky? Would it make you happy if Riot told you "You weren't just unlucky to get a shard for a skin you already own, you were SUPER unlucky"?

You got a summoner icon, part of a cache, cores, and a blueprint. The summoner icon is immediately usable and if you don't want to do anything with the cache piece, cores, or blueprints then you can disenchant them into dust to use on a skin shard you could earn later. If you want a specific Project skin and you want it now then they are available in the shop year round for you to purchase at reasonable prices.

DoktorKaiser1 votesOmg you can disenchant it, just combine that thing you got with 11 hextech cores and you will get regular shard. Then proceed to turn it into orange essence like regular shard. I destroyed my Project Gaysuo today and got to unlock my sweet Sion skin :)
