Withouth it's passive effects, the new Phantom Dancer is **74,9% **gold efficient.

**With ** Passive 1 (Spectral Waltz) the gold efficiency bumps up to a gold efficiency of 85,5%.

With Passive 2 (Lifeline) the item becomes 110% gold efficient for the duration at already a flat 250 shield which is granted if you would get Phantom Dancer at level one, and it later becomes a whopping 146% gold efficient at a 600 hp shield.

Needless to say the new Phantom Dancer's defensive capability is pretty insane considering it's an offensive item after all.

Any sophisticated mathematician would look at your work (or lack thereof) and automatically discredit you.

....needs proofs

You know a shield's gold value is affected by its usability, duration and cooldown right? You can't just pick a shield's HP and throw in the calculation.

146% gold efficieny isn’t that blantant, especially when it’s sub-100% gold efficient when the passive is on cooldown.

Also, this is a defensive item competing with Shiv and RPC, the latter still being better in almost every case.

Now the question arises: Why are we getting those buffs?

I think math would be nice as well. If you do the computation, you can easily post it and if someone does not want to read it, they do not need to. It really does not do anything negative to your post. Put it at the bottom with a disclaimer if you feel better about it that way.

Here you go. You're right usually a post about math contains... math.

Attack speed is valued at 30g per 1% 300/10 Crit is valued at 40g per 1% 400/10 Movement speed is valued at 39.5g per 1% *after removing the AP value of aether wisp the remaining value is 197.5 gold / 5 %

HP (all a shield is) is valued at 2.66g per 1 point 400/150

With our base line we have 30% ATKSPD = 900g 25% Crit = 1000g 7% MVSPD = 276.5 Total value of the item no passive 2176.5 gold or 83% efficient.

The first passive increases it's value by 276.5 for 2 seconds Bringing it to 2453 gold or 94% efficient.

The second passive is temporary HP increasing it's value by 2816.5 to 3736 or 108% to 143% respectively.

So using both the passives effectively will give you a lot of gold efficiency.

meanwhile trinity is 103% gold efficient without spellblade but thats fine right? [sg-lulu]

Spectral Waltz is now very similar to Rage. The old SW would give you the movement speed bonus just by being near an enemy champion, whereas now you have to be auto attacking.

Gonna be interesting to see which champions use this item.
