I'm debating whether to buy Orianna Orianna or Ahri Ahri . Can someone please tell me what is good and bad about these champs and which to play cause I really don't want to waste ip. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I have decided to pick Ahri just because I am not good at league yet so I should play easier champions, and Ahri does seem to be the easier choice. Thanks everyone! [slayer-jinx-wink]

Ahri is my main and Ori is my second.

Both are considered "safe" laners that you can blind pick and do okay vs. most match ups. Both build similar items for the most part. Ori oddly I find to be the safer of the two with her shield and move speed when ults are not up.

Ahri is great if you like roaming more and ganking. Her ult and Q speed are great for running away and preventing death. Her dashes mean you can surprise enemies as well and it's hard for them to run away from you if you aren't expected.

Ori is great if you like adding team support with your shield, or adding team utility to help your team run faster with your W. You also control positioning in battles with your ult and where you place your ball. Ori's roams aren't quite as successful as aside from flash and run speed buff, she just runs in and isn't too surprising. If a lane is warded, Ori likely won't surprise anyone whereas an Ahri dash can still work.

Ori has more teamfight presence than Ahri, but Ahri can sometimes feel more independent and do more on her own.

I'd recommend getting both when you can - both are great.

here's what you should know about the 2,

Ahri:

Pros:

great mobility Good burst (not as good as Fizz or Veigar) low cooldowns reliable CC

Cons:

Poor defense scaling (probably worse than most mages/assassins) devours mana like candy early on (which is why I rush item 3802) dies the moment she gets CC'd

Orianna

Pros:

passive allows autos to deal a good amount as they scale with AP Ult disrupts opposing team's teamfight (works REALLY well with Malphite and Yasuo) ult has low cooldown despite not being an assassin, does a LOT of burst damage.

Cons:

Lack of mobility Squishy zoned easily

Ahri is broken and if u liek free LP, get her

Also, if u get ori, u will usually lane against an Ahri and she counters u rlly hard

Ori is fun tho, get ori :D

Orianna is much trickier and wont feel rewarding immediately, plus she has a lot of client side changes that improve QOL that screws you up if you forget to change between champion, so unless you feel like playing her a lot and using the same spell casting set and options, it's gonna be a pain. She synergizes with most summoners spells and is very versatile. She struggles with mobile champions based on the fact they can avoid the ball(Hi Katarina).

Honestly, I would pick Ahri for you just on the fact that she is simpler and easier to pick up than Orianna, straight forward kit, only need to keep track of yourself, spells are all pretty linear and she's mobile.

If you want to know more on Orianna, hit me up, runes/masteries/QOL client options/builds/etc. Don't ask about Ahri though, not my forte.

Ahri wins in lane

Orianna wins the game, but only if you know how and when to shockwave
