Problems with Roles, ADC's and Crit

This is a slight rant/actual thoughtful post (Maybe biased because I'm an ADC main but whatever):

League of Legends was designed with particular roles in mind. Most MOBA's are to be honest. The ADC (Marksmen) was one of these roles. Never before has it been better to not pick a marksmen bot. Everyone else loves that, but anyone who plays ADC is not happy with that. There have been times where ADC's weren't the strongest (Juggernaut meta) and times where ADC's are straight up strong. They've always been picked however because they were the best at doing sustained, reliable damage. ALL ADC's are designed with this fact in mind. This is why they have low base health, low base AD (mages and supports have less) and all are susceptible to CC/Burst. Runes Reforged took the first line of defense for the Marksmen: The extra armor/MR. Meta Marksmen rune pages always gave a modest amount of armor and MR. Because ADC's generally have the weakest early game out of any role, this helped them get through. Because Runes Reforged took that extra early game armor/mr away, ADC's have even less survivability early game. Ignite was buffed too. Early game it can do a good 25% of an ADC's max health with true damage that weakens healing as well. More recently, supports shields were nerfed. Infinity Edge was always a reliable first item choice, it gave ADC's the punch to be able to hold their own mid game.

SIDENOTE: playing against mage and bruiser botlanes is NOT FUN.

Many people reading this post are going to probably point to certain ADC's performing just fine with these new changes. They can be explained easily. MissFortune has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Runes Reforged and is really strong in general. I think she needs a slight nerf to her all her abilities. Lucian always seems to rise up when other ADC's are weak and has one of the biggest powerspikes in the game from item 3153 . Kaisa doesn't rely on crit and has insane mobility. I'm not going to continue to list why certain champs shine when others don't because I want to get to my main point: CRIT. Ever since I have been on the boards there has been one constant. People complaining about crit. Every day it seemed that there was a call to remove crit from the game or people complaining that crit is toxic gameplay. Crit is what makes Marksmen marksmen. They primarily autoattack and crits enhance their autos to do enough damage to kill. I'm not going to debate whether crit is bad for the game or not, because I honestly don't know. Crits in League revolve around item 3031 . It is a must buy for the majority of ADC's because it enhances crit so much. The fact that it gave some crit chance with AD was huge. item 3095 was a half-assed attempt at a decent replacement for the early item 3031 purchase and is in fact stronger on assassins and Graves . If Riot wants to remove crit, there needs to be a good substitute it to make sure that crit ADC's still have a home.

One more thing: Remember when Riot nerfed the jungle exp and changed the scuttle, jungle mains were up in arms about it, saying how they are so weak? Jungle is still the most useful role in the game.

I don't see a problem with crit being something increases your damage done to the target.

That's fine.

That's great.

I love it.

The problem I have with crit, is that it's RNG.

If you removed literally nothing, but the part that it's RNG, I would love crit to death.

But until then, fucking remove it from the game.

I usually ADC or Support the ADC as a backer...(yea yea yea, support ADC can turn into a carry....you all should know this) I have noticed that pushing for 100% crit has become redundant unless you're using some form of penetration and heavy damage to even really do some peeling or shredding.

The new runes make things very interesting, but then again...it IS slightly annoying. I'm not sure some people havent taken into consideration of certain champs abilities and the passives/debuffs they utilize paired with runes and other item perks.

I've noticed people playing mages using ADC rune set...or Range/Assassin rune styles. Thought it was ridiculous, til I tried it out...

Quinn - Great Utility and with increased vulnerability from Valor's "scouting"...the fact that a well fed quinn can shred a well fed tank...mhmmmm So while there are flaws, there are perks...and annoyances... Playing bot against bruisers and mage as quinn in either backup or main adc...is fun, just gotta ping your JG to drag their ass down there and gank. FEED your JG! FeEd EaCh OtHeR!

I think people complains about crit because it relies on chance and luck. It's like gambling. In theory with 50% crit chance you should crit every two autos, and if you have 35% crit chance you should crit about every third auto. But that's not what happens 100% of the times, and you also don't know which auto you're going to crit on. So it realies on luck. One time I played tryndamere and had full rage (35% crit chance). I fought yasuo. Autoed him like 5 or 6 times. Didn't even crit once. Lost the fight, got killed.

Also, if you're struggling against bruiser bot as a marksman with support, then you're a bad adc. Stop complaining and stop playing adc. The reason why adc is bot is simple. It needs the support. And the support has to be on the bot lane for the dragon control. Now, it's a good idea to rotate to control the herald when your jungler gets the dragon. Back in the days, there was only dragon. If your team is losing against a bruiser bot lane, then it either means that your team comp sucks or your team skill sucks. The only problematic melee carry in certain team comp might be yasuo becaue of the windwall. What if he just blocked you off and go for your squishy support with his support? There is a simple counter play. Get a tank melee support. Done. What's yasuo gonna do against an alistar. He's going to dash to him. Get knocked up. Either gets knocked back or knocked into the turret. His windwall has long cdr. You can deny him farm meanwhile. Or poke him down. There is literally nothing simpler than playing adc against a melee bruiser and if you struggle, then you're just bad.
