Opinions on Jayce?

I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on Jayce. I have been hearing a lot of people saying that he's very weak now and needs buff, some people say he's prefect where he is, and others say that he needs even more nerfs. Can someone state their opinion and give some examples as to why you came to that conclusion?

I don't really know what to think (that's why I made this post). The thing I have mainly on my mind is that he needs to go full AD to be good. That means that he could either go mid or top (everyone says he sucks as adc and I'll take their word for it). If he went top, you wouldn't have as many tanks which is pretty important for this meta. But, I don't think going mid is all that great either. Not necessarily because you have to have someone else on your team be AP but mainly because other mages can do a better job. The "normal" mid lane champs are usually pretty bursty. Jayce is still pretty bursty there is a somewhat low chance that you can accomplish it. Because, you have to hit the EQ combo first and E has a long cooldown. Other mages can do the same amount of health with a much higher chance of success. Like, Leblanc. She can just do QW and do a good chunk of health.

TL;DR He can be strong but he needs to hit hard to hit skillshots first unlike other assassin champs.
