AFKs in Ranked? Will anything ever be done?

I'm SOOOOOOO tired of playing ranked and getting people to either rage afk, intentionally feed, or just decide they need to poop and afk during game. Why isn't Riot addressing this issue? It seems like you need about 50 reports to have real action taken. My thoughts on the issue are simple, you review the chat logs, if someone rage quits, you ban them. First offense. That's it! Why do you keep coddling these spoiled brats? It makes ranked queue SO un-enjoyable. Every survey that goes out probably says the same thing, player behavior is the WORST part of league, there's always some garbage "fix" going in to alleviate the problem. Hello? Why do you need a garbage fix? 1 rage quit = BAN. So fkn sick and tired of it.. Level up.. AFK AFK... Win a game... AFK AFK... Get to series... AFK AFK... Grow some gd damn balls and address the fkn issue!

The issue has been addressed, people who AFK are actually treated quite harshly now. You get a warning after AFKing in ranked once, and the second time you get restricted for a while (can't remember exact punishment).

The thing is that when you get matched up with 100s of different people, you tend to run into one every now and then that AFKs, even with the punishments.

Just accept that people are going to be jerks and move on. If you're not having fun playing the game, try playing another game. I'm 100% serious, not trying to be insulting. Why play a game if you're not having fun?

That's the problem, I think even the restricted play is not good enough because these people that rage have 3-4 accounts so it's no punishment at all. The temporary ban is useless, it's not a punishment at all. When they have multiple accounts, they can jump from account to account with immunity. Maybe ban the entire IP address from ranked play for a month? Maybe ban the account from ranked play for a year? Seriously, these punishments they are imposing are worthless and can easily be evaded.
