Make AP/Hybrid MF viable!

Give her passive an AP ratio (0.5-1.0; equal to the total AD ratio) and increase the AP ratio on her ultimate.

Worst case scenario, we see more support MF and AP MF Mid.

1.0-1.6

That sounds way too strong

0.5 ap ratio would be enough (with Q, Lich Bane and passive (1.0 scaling) it would have an 1.85 ap ratio)

Eh... Alright.

Ezreal's Q only has a .4 AP ratio on it.

The other thing is that MF's passive automatically deals half damage to minions, so it's basically 0.2-0.5 against them.

Considering the ult can crit now I doubt they intend to take it back in a hybrid based direction

Poll: What was the best season in League of Legends?

Ummmm, no? The reason AP MF was killed was the same reason AP Yi was killed. We won't ever see AP MF return.

AP Yi was killed because the ratios made the playstyle oppressive. Same thing with Tryndamere.

I don't see how giving MF AP ratios would do anything other than change her ability to burst at the cost of raw DPS.

MF doesn't have innate heals or defense. So that can't be the reason AP MF was killed.

Chibi Bronzlife1 votes

No the basic reason why both were killed is because it is not the intended playstyle and a loophole was being abused. AP MF was powerful in her own ways (iirc part of it had to do with the dot she applied with her ult and I think Q due to the old W)

Busty Demoness1 votes

Her old W wasn't a DOT, it was stacking instant damage.

MF is a caster ADC, so why is it not "intended playstyle" when she focuses on one or the other? Plus, her Impure Shots stacked best via autos and Hurricane. How is any of that "non-intended playstyle"?

At that point, you're going to tell me Teemo's on-hit skill isn't "intended playstyle", right? Why is any of this a problem since her old W doesn't exist anymore?

Chibi Bronzlife1 votes

because AP MF isn't the intended play style, simple as that. If you want specifics why not go back and look at the context of why it was removed in the first place.

Then why don't they remove the AD ratios from Kat, the AP ratios from Jax, and pick one set to remove from Kayle?

How about you help me out and link Riot saying why they reduced MF's AP ratios?

Her W and passive were changed as part of the marksman update. Not simply as a "kill AP MF". So you link me an article from Riot that says a caster ADC shouldn't have AP ratios.

And while you're at it, justify Teemo, Corki and Ezreal as "unintended playstyle".

Chibi Bronzlife1 votes

See, now you're just proving you don't know what you're talking about. Jax and Kayle are meant to have a hybrid build, heck they aren't even the same role as MF. Kat post rework needs gun blade, which guess what, it's a hybrid item.

Teemo, was never designed to be an ADC he's designed as a utility based safe lane pusher top lane. Hence why no one plays AD Teemo.

Corki is a niche pick and isn't the standard of the ADC meta.

AP Ez did get nerfed every time it made it to competitive play.

So please sir tell me again how little you're actually doing your research.

Because you're saying that MF shouldn't have hybrid ratios for any reason because of "original design". If that was truly the case, why does she have any AP ratios?

Loopholes that create oppressive play is one argument. Miss Fortune no longer has that loophole. So why are you complaining about it?

If you're gonna say "hybrid design is bad for marksman champs", then explain why Teemo/Ezreal is allowed to exist. If you're going to say "Hybrid design is bad in general", then explain why Jax/Kayle exist. If you're going to say "Hybrid ratios aren't part of original design", then explain why Kat kept hers.

All I'm seeing is you circling yourself with "it wasn't part of her original intention". In her current iteration, the loophole you have complained about is gone. Give me a valid reason to not increase the AP ratios.

Chibi Bronzlife1 votes

because when making a change to a champion they don't look at reasons why the change shouldn't be made, they look at reasons for why the change should be made. The answer is there are no reasons to waste resources to add increased AP ratios to a champ that is in a perfectly fine state right where she's at.
