How do you outplay Fiora?

What is the counterplay to fiora's ultimate, in particular? Me and my friends can't seem to find a single hole in her ultimate.

To specify, counterplay is an action you can take. Not a build path. (AKA building full tank so she doesn't kill you with her 2.2k True damage) Not banning her.

I'd like to know if anyone has found a way to outplay her in that regard, it seems difficult to do so when she has a dash on a 4 second cd (that triggers the vitals), a movespeed boost (50% max rank), a way to stop hard cc (granted, it takes skill and timing to do so). It seems Riot set this up to be something she'd have to work for, and gave it to her in every abillity.

I'd like to hear any fiora main's opinons on it as well, trying not to just have a hate thread.

Why do you feel like it's reasonable to expect more counterplay on her ultimate than anyone elses? She already has to work for it, be grateful that you have the ability to mitigate it at all rather than just taking damage because she hit the button.

She's really squishy and she's melee. Just kill her.

Idk, sure was easy when I played Riven into her the other day. I don't think she got a single full ult off on me, I just made sure I was always facing directly at her and she could only get 1-2 vitals in every fight before I killed her.

Of course, once you're 3 kills up in a Riven - Fiora lane then counterplay ceases to exist. So there is that to consider.

  • aggressive early against fiora to test if she is smart or not

  • try to do cs as possible and bully her at same time

  • if fiora is too smart then farm under the turret

  • if fiora am going to ult you... JUST run away or flash away... she will not complete her ult...

  • if she has hydra and bt... you have no hope but farm hard OR wait for 2-3 men ganks...

  • her passive + AA = so broken

  • parry counters everything everything everything... no spell can stop her parry...

  • can slow and stun you

If you're playing an AD glass champ, QSS is always an option later on in the game. It lets you drop her ult entirely.

qss cleanses her ult.

yes. i know she deals physical damage. but after like a chain vest you dont need to build much more armor anyways, because shes usually going to kill you with her ult and passive which deals true damage anyways.

ive built a cleaver a chain vest and went straight qss. and it worked. she ulted me, boom. cleansed it.

by the way, bait out riposte and bait her into ganks from your jungler. shes still really squishy and riposte is her only defensive tool.

Just started playing her - best outplay option for her ult is to disengage when it's active to mitigate her hitting move than one point. Honestly though she's so sticky the only method I've seen being successful at disengages are big hops like Gnar's pounce, Yi's Ult (as a disengage and then you can re-engage), so depending on the champ kiting to lane shrubbery would be another option. Her ult is designed to be a 1v1 victory and she will succeed against most champs. The only way to win against her ult is to neuter it.

Or just hug a wall and she can't hit the spot that's against it.

Her whole thing in lane is to jump in, hit a vital, and jump out. In order to "outplay" her you simply have to break this combo long enough to trade with her in kind. You can do that with CC, gap closers, simply picking someone who hits really hard, or any combination of the three.

I've seen Trundle do well against her, as his pillar can interrupt her long enough for a Q and auto, and if she keeps fighting post Q you have a good chance of out trading her. Keep in mind my usual goal isn't to try and "outplay", but rather survive by out sustaining her and come back in the mid game.
