Probably the most outdated and toxic kit left in the game. Low cooldowns, long silence, and a nuke to top off his powerful base damage with zero damage items. Nuke this champ. That is all

The silence is confirmed to be staying, I'll edit the link in after I'm done typing this.

Anyway it's not going to be a huge change, mostly balancing to better match the new item changes. He is getting a mysterious new mechanic, however.

Oh thank god, i was scared they would change him too much. Sometimes i just want to play a simple champion, run around and DEMACIA nooblords, you know?

Do we have any info on the other reworks? It would be nice to know what direction they are taking on Darius, Mord and Skarner.

As a Garen main I've only payed attention to information on Garen, but I don't think much has been said other than they will be talking about all of them fairly soon.

meddler at least confirmed, the silence remains part of his kit, since its fine on a champion with garens restrictions (melee range).

he also talked about a new mechanic added, that allows him to bring something unique to the team. the only thing im worried about is, if theyre adding something new, theyre probably making cuts somewhere else. i just hope its worth it.

that would be a shame. i like how that turned out.

im totally split on this gameplay update right now. garen has been in a better spot than he ever was. hes not lcs material, but since the cleaver changes, buffs on his ult and passive he pops up at diamond level games now and then. something that never happened before. the most they achieved with him was that he has seen play up to gold rated games in season 3.

hes balanced and it a good spot in solo que, even if not particularly strong, but actually viable at all levels of play. the update could go either way.

id rather first see how the fighter itemization changes affect him before they change him. but theyre apparantly going to do both at the same time. his update should happen within the next 2 weeks.

Here's my interpretation of what I remember a Rioter saying

Darius is going to be changed by upping his net damage, but nerfing his interaction with other melees in lane They're shifting more power into his damage ramp up over time, allowing him to accrue lots of aoe damage in teamfights, and high single target damage as fights continue. As it's ramping damage, his quick trades where he brutalizes you and leaves you ragged and bloody walking back to your tower with 200 health ticking down won't be as powerful, but he'll probably pwn even harder in duels and ganks.

I think he means a complete one. I strongly doubt Garen's rework will change more than one of his skills.

you forgot the nuke is ONLY a nuke when you are lowlife, and i mean a Point where a crit from any adc would kill you with almost the same dmg. ever seen the dmg of a garen ult when you are full lifeß RIGHT THAT ISNT DMG

most outdated, slightly. Toxic, no. Teemo is leagues ahead of him in that regard (that mini rework fixed very little of why Teemo is toxic. And no, it's not the poison DoT I'm talking about.)

They are giving Garen a mini rework soon anyways.
