So after the runes reforged update goes through any runes and rune pages we bought will be useless. So right now, people are saying that you will get some type of reward. I think we should also get the option of getting back all of the RP we spent of runes. Just my thoughts because im a poor beginner and I never have enough IP.

Hello,

Here is the view of an "old" player.

I don´t like the idea of an IP reward because there is nothing i could spend it on.

Let me show some math.

20 Runepages * 6300 IP = 126k 51 Quints * 1000 IP (average) = 51k 99 Glyps * 400 IP = 39.6k 81 Seals * 400 IP = 32.4k 72 Marks * 400 IP = 28.8k

This makes a total of 277.8 k Influence Points

Since normal playing is absolutely enough to buy every new champion, I won´t be able to use an IP reward.

Coming to the next point, a skin Reward:

Getting 277.8k IP needs if you get an average of 100 IP per Game (Bonus of the Day) 2778 Games.

WIth an average of 25 mins each, resulting in a total of 1157 h playing (48 Days).

Even with just 1€/h refund it would mean (1157 / 50) * 8250 RP = 190k RP.

So even if you get like 10 Skins each Skin it would be worth 19k Riot Points or 115€.

In the case of a RP reward.

A champ wich costs 6.3k IP or 975 RP, means 154RP equals 1k IP. 154RP*277.8k IP = 43k RP

Will Riot give those "old" players who have tons of runes such an amount of RP, sadly I don´t think so.

I have similar concerns; especially regarding ip. It should not go unnoticed how much time is spent in building new rune pages for champions, (especially including the cost of a new champion). i doubt its ideal for RIOT but i do not spend RP or, for that matter, use shards, for anything i can purchase with ip. This shouldn't be a profit motivated decision. I'm excited for the changes and would be disappointed mainly because I see Riot as a model corporation in game design and corporate ethics as well as being generally respectful of the wishes of it's community.
