Riot can we have a look at the ban process?

the 3 champ ban limit has been there from the start, when the champion pool was relatively small. People keep asking for a change in this...all you have to do is look at the champ select to see people comment like - a) have 4-5 bans on each team = total 8-10 bans b) have each person ban one champ each = total 10 bans

I am not a greedy person, and i can understand if having too many bans is counter productive. We don't want to keep banning the same champs all the matches every match, do we? 10 bans might just as well see some of the top champs never see daylight. No...what i ask for isn't something that radical.

I say let there be 3 bans....fair enough. But let the top 3 summoners in the team pick one ban each. This would reduce the amount of times the captain bans champs that are a counter to just himself, or times when the captain would ban a champ simply because the champ is broken or considered OP. Let other players decide for themselves if there is a particular hard counter to the champ they want to play. Yes, i can understand that it is not really fair to the bottom 2 summoners in each team, but they aren't losing anything more than they are now, and this idea isn't an increase in the total bans thus allowing more champs to be played. What do you think?

Agreed, the ban amount should be increased by one.

Good luck ever getting a contested champ if your own team can ban it from you. First pick is gonna play Veigar? Too bad, our 3rd pick just banned it. Having the bans be spread out among multiple people turns bans into even more of the "ban all the OP champs" exercise we're already doing.

Perhaps more time for discussion on bans would be good, or hey let's see who is on the other team then we can apply smarter bans (like in worlds)
