With Cinderhulk's percent max HP being wonderfully powerful...

Has anyone tried taking Smite top with a bruiser or tank?

Having that +25% max HP on an actually lane's gold budget could be magnificent, and Challenging Smite's 6 second 20% damage reduction against someone would really help you survive against that ADC or in a duel.

Would it be worth not bringing exhaust, teleport, or ignite?

And thus was it revealed that locking items into summoner spells was an excruciatingly stupid idea for balancing them.

You could definitely try this buying stalkers blade to fight your lane opponent, but the early kill pressure of ignite and the map pressure of teleport probably outperform it on most champions if not all

Don't forget that you can counter jungle your opponent so much more easily. I already naturally do this as some of my top lane champs, so Smite could actually help a ton there.

Side note, sneaky Mundo cleavers could be fun, smiting away the minion they thought they were safe behind.

if u playing some one like singed or maybe others that can escape without the use of flash then yah why not

I'm intent on picking it up on Mundo, so he's got the kiting and ult to survive.

It depends on your champion, obviously. Although I don't know what everyone's fascination with Skirmisher's Saber is. Most of the time it's just easier for most characters to get chilling smite to stay on top of them. Most of the time if you land it they'll retreat (depending on what skill level your opponents are) and it can give cc to champions that don't have a reliable slow in their kit (e.g. Garen)

Overall, I'm sure that someone will crunch the numbers and give us the answer. I usually counter pick top lane so max HP usually isn't a priority. I would crunch the numbers but....

I'm intent on picking it up on Mundo, and I play mostly casual normal games, so counterpicking isn't as relevant to me. As for Chilling vs. Skirmishers, Mundo doesn't mave much trouble sticking to people thanks to Ult + cleaver. That 20% damage reduction vs. the ADC would be awesome.

I could see that. Mundo at my level is pretty much nonexistant, so I was thinking more of Garen, or Nasus (because Nasus definitely needs a mini-whither that doesn't freeze him in place, doesn't he?) but for Mundo I could see challenging smite a bit more as long as you can rely on your aim with cleavers and stuff.

It's +25% to bonus HP, not max. Not really useful unless you're going to build pretty tanky to begin with.

Yeah, I suppose my exact wording isn't entirely correct, but that I know what you're saying. That's the whole reason I want it on a laner's budget, so I can get those super tanky items that much earlier.
