Taliyah W's interaction with quick cast

So, after trying to play Taliyah since release I finally got to play the first game on her. And I can't lie, she's really fun. Like, really fun. I really enjoy the entire kit. But I've only found a single problem. The way quick cast with range indicators uses her W. The way it works now is:

Press W -> Let go -> Move Mouse in the intended direction -> Press W again.

But lets look at a similar ability, such as 's E:

Press E -> Move Mouse in the intended direction -> Let go.

's ult works the same way. I just don't see why 's W doesn't work the same. It feels clunky and well, gross.
