Can I ask if they buffed his mana or at least reduced the costs of his abilities? Cause like....That guy goes through mana like a kid goes through a bag of candy.

Mana cost decrease on e, speed buff WAY upearly game (30% at level one from 20%) but loses 2% at level five.

But yeah I agree, he feels horrible to play until you get your chalice or rod of ages (or both!)

I mean I keep up to date with playing him because he's my go to anti ap character. I've never really felt that he was unviable, as long as the matchup was right, but I would probably say I have more experience with Galio than most people

Ah... I see, I'm more of a support main commonly, so I use Galio rarely, compared to my 54K Soraka I have.

Personally I don't like him as a support, and much prefer tahm as an anti ap/non armor specific tank support. Granted, I mostly play mage supports (bard and lux are my highest mastery champions)
