Why does Riot not punish people who soft int?

Watch any league stream and you will see that EVERY game played has someone soft inting so why is it socially acceptable by riot to soft int? as far as im concerned, someone who just decides to soft int is just as toxic as someone who hard ints because both result in loss rage and fustration. Riot, can you please do something about the soft inters? the league community deserves better and i been a long time player and bought your merchandise which includes t shirts, figurines, hats, posters, etc. the option that would be good is implementing a manual review for soft inters based on a reward basis and you need to be a certain rank to review.

No one says it is acceptable. It is impossible to catch a soft inter unless they willingly admit to it.

First off, I want to insist on something others have pointed out: a player who disagree with you on what is the best strategy but still play to win is not (soft) inting. Inting is giving an advantage to the enemy team on purpose, INTentionally, as the name indicates.

Second, back to the original question: why doesn't Riot punish that?

The answer is: they try, but it's really hard, not at all "painfully obvious". And they REALLY don't want to punish someone who isn't skilled, is a "bad" player, but is still genuinely trying to win; so before punishing someone, they want to be really really sure they are actually inting. And so, if the player tries to camouflage it, they generally can avoid the punishment.

Basically, it's a combination of a) the problem is harder than you think, and b) Riot wants to be extra careful to not punish people who don't deserve it, even at the price of letting some who deserve it escape.

first of all soft int isnot even something it's a work created by some troll that make you feel special to say it. you cant even define the word soft inting.

you're saying being 0/5 after 10m is soft inting ? in your logic those ppl purposely soft going 0/5 intentionaly for some reason only them know ? no they just dont know how to play from behin.

Its because matchmaking is trash. You're getting filled into games with people that don't know any better.

It isn't possible to separate soft int from bad players, or from people who get chain ganked by multiple lanes all match long.

It's called clueless feeding from stupidity/tilt/distraction/unknowingness and sometimes it's deadly like your Renekton feeding enemy Sett where Rene has Tiamat and Sett has TriForce
