@Riot An idea to give Rengar ult counterplay and improve is playstyle without loosing his identity.

First i would like to apologies for the hypothetical mistakes, english isn't my first language.

As we all know, Rengar has been a problem for sometimes now, as a support main (Bard and Sona), but also a jungler (with quite some games with the cat) i could actually deal with most of the assassin Rengar, but with the end of the season 5, the snowball meta and the change on vision can make him really frustrating to play against.

We also now, Riot is trying to find some changes that can be made on his ult

So i would like to share an idea to actually improve both experience for Rengar players and Rengar's preys, keep in mind some numbers tweaks can be done about that and i'm open to any suggestions:

Thrill of the hunt: Rengar claim All the area surrounding him for 7/10/13 sec (2000/3000/4000 radius) gaining vision on ALL ennemy units who enter in the area The ennemy players can see the area rengar claimed has his hunting ground. Rengar gains stealth, Movement speed (15/20/30%) and generate ferocity while he is in this zone Rengar can leap on ennemy present in the zone while stealthed. If rengar use AA, ability or leap he is reaveled for about 0.8 seconds CD: 130/110/90 sec

Why shoud this actually solve Rengar counterplay issues ? First With this change, players in both team will actually have more visibility about Rengar ultimate and adapt about it, the ennemy team will then have two choices: 1-Stay in his Area group and use anti-stealth mechaniqs to fight him, knowing he is here, but with enhanced killing ability.

2-Get out of the hunting ground as fast as they can and try to escort the squishies to safety

But It will nerf Rengar alot !! Not Really, keep in mind that when Rengar is in this Area he generate FREE ferocity and MS even when he is NOT Stealthed, this will actually buff his fighter potential, allow him to trade against more tanky champions, make him more powerfull in team fight (where the job of Rengar's team will be to keep the ennemy in his territory) and he will still have a good killing potential.

Soooo, what do you thin about this ? good ? Not good ? can do better ?

Tldr: Rengar ult now works like a Bigg ass Akali shroud and Rengar got more power when he fights in it

And then what's stopping anyone from walking out of it? Sounds like Skarner's spires all over again - DO NOT FIGHT HIM WHEN IT'S HIS TERRITORY.

I'm all for gutting Rengar, I'm sick of his 0.3 seconds burst pattern, but let's be reasonable. Rengar doesn't want to be jumping in on an entire team; he gets CC'd and dies just as quickly (justice). It's a huge nerf.

No. Terrible idea.

Rengar's ult has counter play. It's called pink wards and Oracle's lens.

i think its a very bad and boring idea and i have to say i kinda am happy with the current rengar. like, he instantly kills you. thats exactly what a fucking lion does when you stray too far from the safe herd. rengar is a lion. you DID realize hes a lion right? he does what lions do. pretty good concept i guess.
