Why are smurfs allowed to recruit other smurfs on the boards?

Doesnt this greatly reduce queue health for the low elo (having to fight TWO smurfs rather than even just one)

  1. Because smurfing is allowed.
  2. Because smurfing isn't a bad thing, learning what you did wrong and how that "smurf" got ahead is a good lesson. BUT, in saying this smurfing isn't always healthy at a certain lvl. Ex: Any smurf in bronze/silver whos main is above gold 1 isn't healthy.
  3. Smurfing isn't a big issue because of how many people arn't in that elo for smurfing.
  4. If smurf's wern't on the boards then they would find another smurf in a game and then add them and play w/ them
  5. Low elo in my books= anything under gold 3 (not saying golds are high elo). In low elo it doesn't matter if there is a smurf because the next game you probably won't improve at that fast of a rate that it will matter

I actually asked Riot support about their opinion about Smurfs in Ranked and here what I've been told :

  1. You have the same chance of having a smurf in your team as it being in the ennemy team, so it evens out eventually.
  2. Smurfs will naturally rise up fast and join their actual elo, meaning they won't affect your games for long.

Note that considering the MMR system, if you have a high MMR for your elo, you're more likely to play against smurfs, since the system try to even out MMR differences. So the first point is just riot trying to justify the fact they can't remove smurfs from the game.
