What will happen to Poppy?

I have only now started to play and love poppy, but i know that there will be immense changes to her kit, there was a big discussion about her about 5 months ago- In what state is she now? Will she stay "Poppy" or lose her identity (like previosly for example evelynn, kind of new Darius and Zilean)? Will she be changed in a way, that she will be a new meta pick, that you can be lucky if you can pick her, because everyone wants to play her? What is going to happen to her signature spells, is the rework also going to be visual? I had some champs I really enjoyed kind of gutted by riot, so I am afraid, to pick up poppy as a new main now.

As it is at the moment, she and yorick ar not in the free rotation as their kits are considered "toxic" by riot champion designers. However, I don't really see Poppy being any more toxic than, say, riven, so i would like to have some clarity and update of what is and what will be Poppy and wether or not she might become a "mainstream" pick.
