Riven versus Urgot.

I am Riven and i am fighting an Urgot. I am level 11 versus Urgot who i also level 11. I am 46 cs ahead of Urgot with Urgot having Black Cleaver, Jaurim's Fist and a Dorans Blade. I (Riven) have Black Cleaver, Warhammer, Tabi and a Vampiric Scepter. Can i beat him. If i dodge the ult? You think i should right. But even if i dodge the ult i dont beat him. And just for fun i lost that game because a fed Varus with 21 kills appeared which i had 0 control over.

Tho, your secondary runes sucks. I wonder that someone uses them willingly... They are used only when you take them as primary for keystone and need to fill empty slot, otherwise they are worthless. ( No offense )

Urgot is one of Riven's counters, so it's not like Urgot is broken. You should be fine so long as you dodge his flip/grab though. Always engage on Urgot when he uses his shield.

And I dont have to say that runes that are good in one game can be quite shitty in another even if used champ is the same, right?

A good Riven won't lose that. It's entirely in Riven's hands to lose or win.

Just do the usual priming of Q3 -> full combo but make sure you dodge E. Fighting in minions helps a ton too if you dodge E and Q, cuz then some of his W autos will target minions instead since he didn't get the lock on.

And of course, make sure you can actually perform the combo correctly.

With her animation cancels good riven will combo him insta and e back and urgot is stunlocked doing 0 dmg. Riven vs Urgot matchup is more like skill no counters.However riven combo is 2x faster than urgot + urgot cant aa on his (purge) when stunned, Riven have huge adventage on urgot early game them gap is closed and urgot start to dominate if not destroyed early. Riven is one of the strongest mele toplaners.Look how many one trick riven sit in challenger and how many urgots then you think who is stronger. I wish one day riot "nerf" riven and force her tu use full animations(aa,skills) and not cancel everything.

Show us a video of the fight. You are able to easily dodge his Q and E and prevent him from ever getting more than two shotguns on you. The ult is pretty 50/50, but if you dodge it as you said, I can't imagine Urgot just auto-attacking you to death.
