Season 6 drop from Silver V to Bronze I?

I heard from a friend that in the lower ranks (i.e. silver) you do not drop tiers if you lose X many games, is this true? I just made it to Silver V and don't want to risk dropping back to Bronze.

that is not true you can drop from any tier

for you to drop from a Tier V anything back to the previous Tier I anything you need to play terribly for a long period of time. It is almost impossible for you to drop in that case unless you are just trolling and losing on purpose

You can drop from any tier. When you are initially placed in a Tier (i.e. Silver 5) you have 10 games of protection, and then if you continue to lose you will fall. If you've been there for awhile, and have played won/lose games then you can fall but it's not easy to know how many games it would take.

Also, you'll have a chance again at being a lower tier once the new season starts as they reset everything XD but depends on how you do in placements
