New buff - Green

Ok, I had this thought a while back and thought I'd share it. What about a green buff, located in the red areas on the attached picture.

I would work exactly the same as red and blue buff in regards to the following:

  1. Camp cooldown the same
  2. Buff duration the same
  3. The person that gets the last hit gets the buff
  4. buff shows up under player as a green circle

Here is a little more information about the green buff and supporting ideas:

  1. Provides a small XP boost to that player during the duration of the buff
  2. Added summoner 11 item that allows you to smite allies (call it something positive like: Devine Blessing). This smite on ally gives the ally a bonus (movement, Armor, Magic resist, attack dmg, extra AP, health, whatever RIOT decides). Well smiting green buff gives you the smite effect that lasts until your next smite, if you next smite is on an ally (cannot be yourself) it gives them an added little bit of XP.

Imagine the game play strategy the jungler would now add!

  1. Who is going to get the XP buff? Which lane do you want ahead and to what cost? (we all know how big a 1 level difference can make)
  2. If the jungler takes it who is he going to give the bonus little bit of XP to (only if he has that summoner 11 item)? It can make a huge difference

If the blue team decides to sink green buff every time to their mid laner (note that: jungler would not get the added summoner 11 bonus because he is not killing the buff) all red team has to do is focus and kill mid lane and blue has nothing show for all those buffs. But if blue gets a good engage that mid laner might be the difference. While red team distributes it to whoever is a little behind. They might find themselves more balanced then their opponents on blue side, but at the same time, lacking that super punch that blue teams mid laner is providing.

This is just a rough idea, I'm sure it needs some refining...

What do ya'll think? If you ask me what I think, I would say, "Indeed, a wise choice" Heimerdinger

Good Idea! ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ The only problem is, the SR map was made in a way so that the blue and red buff fit in perfectly. I wouldn't want the green buff too close to the red one. Maybe if the SR map can be increased and made bigger then have more space for the new green buff. But then that would mean Rito have to work on it for like 3 more years.

Given that it revolves around in-game xp it would practically be a useless buff in the end game. My change to this idea would be a much more drastic jungle change: --put the green buffs in the dragon and baron pits up to the 20 minute mark with an earlier spawn time and the respawn would be short enough for 4 respawns max per buff (potential 1 green for every champion) I would also let greens stack, buff time doesn't increase but the amount is 1.5x effectiveness. --at 20 min dragon spawns but on a 4 min respawn timer for the first three respawns then a 5 min timer for the rest of the game (practically guarantees a team fight at 20 min) --at 26 min baron spawns (presumably between dragons) In my opinion this would shorten the average game time and also make the river region highly contested all game

Full exp runes and masteries, too! Then the small exp smite is worth about half a level!

Cool idea, but I don't like what it would do to the balance of the game. This isn't something you can just casually add.
