Bronze Needs Help

So I've started to play ranked recently, and the only thing I'm getting out of it is troll teams, feeders, depression, and the feeling that I want to smash my head on my computer.

I've had nearly 11 losses in a row where I'm Top or mid and all other lanes literally feed the hell out of the opponent, 1 - 11 at 5 minutes or something ridiculous like that. I know people say if you don't belong in bronze, you can just carry yourself out, but I have a silver 1 account that I carried from silver 4 and I consistently play with my plat friend and we get matched with plat V -diamond 5's even, so I know that I don't belong in bronze. Also, in-game, theres literally nothing I can do to prevent my team from feeding. As a top or mid, I can't go roam 3 lanes at once and I can't 1 v 2 a bot lane who is 5/0. These trolls and feeders are seriously ruining my experience in this game and are starting to actually drop my elo (bronze 1 to bronze 2 now probably 3 soon) I even had an intentional feeder 1/19 karma first game in ranked, like what the fuck...

I would really appreciate some advice or suggestions or something because even when i duo queue with my high gold friends we still can't carry due to the severity of these feeders and trolls, and also the fact that half the players play OP champions like annie or riven or wukong who can one shot you level 1 really doesn't help the matter.

Please don't tell me that occasionally you get trolls and theres nothing you can do about it, because I get trolls EVERY game. Literally. 1/30 games I will actually have a team with half a brain.

One of the main symptoms of Bronziness is denial. Even in a topic that you specifically created to get advice. Enjoy your looong stay in Bronze.

Thanks for the helpful advice man, really lightened me up. Also, if you read the whole post you would know that I'm actually silver 1 and was trying to get higher on my "main" account, but thanks anyway.

We have been giving you advice and you replied with a "warding is not important." For all you said, you didn't earn that silver tier. You got carried by Platinums that won despite having you in their teams. Not thanks to.

Buddy I climbed to Silver 2 from Bronze 3. Something you are allegedly saying you can't do. My husband never plays ranked and just because of the classification games he was put on Silver 2 with 6 wins 4 defeats. Same as me and I got put on Bronze 3. Just because you got lucky there with a broken system that works like crap doesn't mean shit.

My transition from Silver 5 to Silver 2 was the easiest I've ever played in ranked. Getting out of Bronze is one of the hardest parts of playing ranked. You can't get out of Bronze on your own. You said yourself you can't. **You just created a thread about it because you can't. **

I didn't ask for your bullshit, if you don't have anything to say besides "enjoy a long stay in bronze" then don't say anything at all.

I did give you advice before that. Advice that you pissed on. Then you got the kind of responses you deserved from everyone.

Sorry, I didn't notice you were the guy who talked about wards. Only god knows why you decided to make a whole new reply to reply to my quote..

I read the boards in chronological view. I don't know about that.

I would have to agree with the crowd on this one. Bronze is not hard to carry out of. Even if the other lanes feed, you should be able to carry the game. You said you mid, focus on mid. If your team is feeding "1-11" at five minutes. If you are winning your lane then you can roam and help your top laner or bottom feeders.

To your point with wards: Yes, you are right. The map awareness in Wood is at a Ray Charles level. But, be the carry. Ward anyway and ping MIA's. If you are better than bronze, then stick out the slump.

My advice would be to play a hyper-carry mid and get an early lead so you can roam and assist your lanes. You'll notice that a good bit of bronze aren't bad, they just don't understand what they should be doing. They don't know the kits of opposing champions nor ranges and are easily caught out of position. So, to counter-act that just roam as often as you can so the opposing team is left playing defense.

Señor Karthus1 votes

I don't understand something. You ask us how to get out of bronze but you have another account that is Silver 1?

Obungo 1 votes

My bronze account was my first account, so its the one I put the most money into and have most skins/champions.

Señor Karthus1 votes

Well to start with, I saw the stats of 5 of your games and you are ALWAYS the guy that places fewer wards from THE TWO teams. That indicates me that you have problems of map awareness (not feeling the NEED of putting wards is a symptom of not looking at the map every 5 seconds). Your builds don't seem very weird or crazy. Maybe not very consistent with the Champions you play with. Usually to get out of bronze you have to play the same Champion or two Champions 90% of the time, when you can get the lane you want.

Warding doesn't really matter, and I'm not going to lose farm to place wards on top and bottom if they are going to not look at them and feed anyway. I don't really die in lane so I don't see a reason to place wards in my lane, I usually play zed or someone who has escapes.

In bronze it really doesn't. You're team won't look at them, and half the time I'm mad and rethinking why I played this game, so I won't look at them either. The only time it is actually useful in this elo is scouting deep jungle before a baron/dragon.

Zmuecat2 votes

Let's assume your team doesn't look at them, are you looking at them?

If no: This is a problem, fix it. Wards matter so much and it's better to fix this habit of yours now then when (or if) you climb later.

If yes: Then ward more so you can see more things.

If hope you don't ask for help like this in real life. Cause asking for help and immediately going "Yeah, no" would prevent me (and others I'm sure) from trying to help you anymore.

Obungo 1 votes

League of Legends (being a video game) has nothing to do with life, never will.

Zmuecat2 votes

It's part of your life. You mention depression and frustration in your OP, and your reactions to people trying to helpful are a reflection of how you live your life.

Unless you are super awesome at compartmentalizing different aspects of life, which your OP says you aren't, then whether it's a video game, a book, a short story, or a movie, just because it itself is not real life, does not mean it doesn't effect it.

Wards are important, learn to use them.

Depressed and frustrated while I play the game, I couldn't care less about a video game outside of the time I'm playing it, and I really hope that goes for everyone...

Lol, I this happens SOOOO much more than you think.

Just had a patient come into the pharmacy asking what is giving them high blood pressure. Told them that it was their 25 (no joke) OTC herbal shits they were taking (like 10 of them contained caffeine). They were like, "Nope, it's my Nasacort." Said nope, that isn't even a side effect of nasacort and nicely explained the effects of caffeine on the body. I'll be dammed, come Nasacort refill time, there was no refill.

Wards win you games, and ANY vision is better than NO vision. Whether or not you die in lane is irrelevant on whether or not you ward. And you commonly have to lose one or two cs to ward, not that bad. If you can see that jungler coming, you don't have to use your spells defensively in the first place; You see the Eilise coming, you just back off, and when she leaves you go agro with your spells.

In addition, if you are winning your lane, you should be the person warding more then anyone else, other then maybe the support, because you will have the funds to get more wards, while still completing items. You place wards for yourself 75% of the time, so how your team reacts to them, doesn't matter. You see an enemy on a ward, you use the careful ping and leave it at that.

Even if you don't get ganked, your ward shows the enemy jg is not there is still a big deal.

Tips for escaping bronze- use these people: Anyone with a stun Anyone that is very tanky (with a stun if you have one) Anyone that can one-shot (ex. Annie) Use Cait and only Cait if you play ADC Always be the one to start fights (bronze players will never know when to leave fights)

Tips for playing in bronze: Bronze players will always go into fights if they see a pick even on a tank -_- These players will NEVER peel for you These players will never ward Don't rely on your jungler if they say "I'll gank at lvl 6"; unless they are playing someone that can only do that (Ex. Warick) All players will normally build damage and not any defensive stats Once they lose a lane they will continue to feed it (they don't play passive)

I could continue but it will take forever. So, go on youtube and find people with videos on how bronze players act.

In general massive loss streaks tend to be your fault, as you are the common element, I'm not saying that for SURE that's the case.... But you should consider it.

Regardless, you can't control other people, you can only control yourself. With that in mind try to do the following things:

  1. Get better (Warding, skills etc.) I'm actually really bad, so i don't have specific skills I can point out, but there are a number of youtube videos that talk about little things you can learn to improve your game, from CSing, jungling paths, warding (When and where), crit fishing, when to and how to trade with the enemy laner, when to roam, etc.
  2. Don't tilt, if someone starts flaming you, the mute them after the first or second flame, listening or argueing with them will just make it worse. To add to this, if you ever lose 2 ranked games in a row, STOP. Go play normals until you get a win. I also find it really hard to be super fed as a champ, then play that same champ in the next game, as I accidentally murder myself by going to hard cuz I remember being fed.
  3. Be a team player: don't flame your team, place wards, be NICE. You'll be surprised how much this helps. I mentioned I was bad earlier, right? I'm in (low) gold and I only have the skill of a mid silver, I have slow reaction times, bad ping and generally suck. But I make up for it by calling fill, and generally making sure my teammates have a good game.
  4. Find a duo partner, if you can find someone around the same Elo that you play well with, that reduces the probability of getting a troll on your team by 25%.
DaOnlyBubZ1 votes

Duoing with a higher MMR (the new 'elo') friend is a bad idea if you can't carry feeders. And if you really want to duo, then one of you should adc, and the other should top or mid. You should definitely not duo bot lane together.

This is because Riot tries to create matches where both teams have roughly the same average MMR. So your friend is being counter-balanced by much lower MMR players to have the same average MMR as the other team.

example.

Your team's MMR: 100 (you), 200 (your friend), 50, 50, 50 Your opponent's MMR: 90, 90, 90, 90, 90.

All of your teammates will get ruined by anyone on their team while you get pissed and rage.

I actually have a similar issue, but not with bronze, but in Silver ELO instead. I usually have to put a little more effort into carrying because the allies tend to derp their way into throwing a thousand leads and advantages. The truth is bronze is easy. The players are mechanically inferior to most skilled players at mid silver and onward level. I do have some advice for you though.

For bronze: Just have fun... If you are at a higher level, don't take it seriously.. the players are going to be bad, just play YOUR game and it should fall into line. Don't be a follower. If your team is overstaying or going too deep, ping them back. Use chat frequently and lead them in few words. Start with small things like, "lets do drag," or "Baron, now!" Or finally, "B, heal and buy." Make sure your calls are sound, because people follow a guy who seems like he knows what he is doing.

For Silver: Try to snowball other lanes, regardless of which lane you are in. If it's top, take TP and gank bot with it. If mid or jungle, gank the other lanes as much as available. Be frequent and proactive with your plays, and never expect your allies to follow behind you, because most of the time they won't. And finally if your skill level is closer to that ELO and you feel truly challenged, play what you are comfortable with.
