Do you think Riot loses money/players when Smurfs destroy/trash talk/bash lower elo players?

So smurfs in lower elos are a definite problem. They ruin gameplay for those trying to climb the ladder and get better at the game. Now some smurfs politely trash on you and don't make you feel worse about it by trash talking you, but most of them do. I wonder how many players have quit League of Legends due to this epidemic. Or not even stopping at quit; I wonder how many players have been penalized from letting out their frustration at these smurfs in game followed by being reported? I wish there was a more efficient way for Riot to penalize toxic smurfs. I know its hard to track them out sometimes but damn. These people are ruining the integrity of this game.

I mean, losing money is definitely no. Ironically, riot would gain money from smurfs because they would buy skins for their main all over again on their smurf account if they wanted to. Losing players is extremely rare, someone in the right frame of mind would not care about one match they got destroyed due to a smurf. I also highly doubt that they encounter smurfs on the daily, smurfs would climb fast and reach where they were relatively quickly. Smurfs never stay in low elo unless they are low elo to begin with, and even then they wouldn't ruin games because they are still slow elo players.

Considering they care mostly only about high elo players only (dynamic q staying in low elo....) Nope.

Losing money, probably not. Riot has a pretty good base that is willing to throw money to get the new skins and stuff. It's not bad if they have a loyal base supporting them, and more power to them and that base.

As for players? I don't know about that. I only hear very negative things about the community: from friends, from websites dedicated to gaming, and even from the community themselves. The local gamer's scene in this region (Mainly bringing together this geographical area's gamers) doesn't even acknowledge League when they plan out their events because of the owner and co-owner's negative experiences from the League community (hostility ranging from homophobia, misogyny, crass insults, etc. The stuff you expect from the Call of Duty community, except in League). Will they lose players? Maybe, maybe not. However, will they gain new players? Probably, but not a large rate where they'll be netting 1 million unique players per month (I usually assume unique means someone who has never touched League and is a true new player) like back in 2011.
