Toxic Player AREN'T Toxic

Sorry for the click bait.

Toxic players are in fact 'Toxic'. The real question is, are they normally toxic or does this game turn normal, respectful players into toxic rage monkeys because of how the systems traps you into being one?

TEAM

So everyone knows that this game is highly based around being a TEAM moba. So that means you HAVE to rely on your TEAM to a certain extent.

By having to rely on a team, you are forced to cooperate with them (nothing wrong with cooperation). What if you have a teammate who is just playing to "have fun" (aka dick around and just troll)? If you're not serious about this game, you're going to end up doing horrible. If you do horrible, you affect your TEAMmates because of the "snowball" effect.

You're in your lane trying your absolute hardest but you've been matched with a pretty evenly skilled matchup so you're at a stand still 0/0/0. Meanwhile in your other lanes, you have your teammates who are either having a bad game, getting outright outplayed, or just trolling. So you're let' say, down 0 vs 8. Just seeing that number is pretty tilting in itself and it may not make you angry but you can already feel whats about to happen next. Before the laning phase is over, it's 0 vs 12 and you're teammates turrets have been taken. Whats going to happen next? The whole enemy team is going to come to your lane to perform a tactical dive. If you're aware enough to notice this, you are already forced to abandon your perfectly healthy turret. That's more gold for the enemy team which means MORE items. More items = snowball/power spikes/kills. At this point, your teammates are behind due to deaths and therefore they are lacking in cs. You're also behind as well because of the immense amount of team gold your enemy has received from 'First Blood', 'First Turret Blood', '12 kills'. At this point its going to be hard for you to carry because you're just behind in gold and items. You cannot engage onto the enemy team. You are forced to wait for them to make a mistake. If that even happens. Meanwhile they are all able to rotate to every lane and effectively close you in to your own base. Now they are able to secure every objective flawlessly. From there on its completely down hill.

Matchmaking

RECENT ISSUE: Flex Queue

Now we all know that Flex Queue was a horrible disaster and that anyone who's decided to take it on, no matter if you've gotten a perfect run or a semi-normal run out of your 10 games. You've been placed as low as you can possibly go. Now you're stuck playing with lower elo players but your enemy team has players on your elo or just higher than your team's in general. You're team is going to get outplayed obviously because of the lack of experience.

LEAVERBUSTER

If you realize that your game is now hopeless and that you're just completely wasting your time, like you know that even if you wait the game out for a comeback, its still even hopeless because of the decisions your teammates are making right now, you are forced to stay and endure the average of 30 minute torture. You can't afk in the fountain because that also counts as leaving and its reportable. If you're in matchmaking queue and you look your team up and you see that they all have huge losing streaks, you can't dodge because thats a 5 minute wait time and it only stacks from there. Also if someone troll picks a champion or steals your role because they feel like just "having fun". Well tough luck bud! You have to pray that someone takes the dodge or you'll just have to play until 20 minutes and hope for a /ff or just play on past that and continue to waste your time.

I can go ON waaay longer than this but I have ran out of time and I will end it at this. The system of League of Legends is built as a toxic trap and you end up coming to a breaking point.

x3, i like the message, and agree with it, but i think the title sets people up in a mindset that is too distracted to hear the message... which is ironic now that I think about it.

the title says toxic players arent toxic, then why are they called toxic players? It's like saying tall people aren't tall.

No. Normal respectful players remain normal respectful players. Toxic rage monkeys are toxic rage monkeys, if they weren't doing it in LoL, they would be or are doing it in CS:GO, DotA, or any other multiplayer game where they can blame anything and everything (including being toxic) on anyone but themselves.
