The number of ADCs is possibly concerning

Instead of complaining for once I'm gonna try and ask a general question and hopefully start an actually worthwhile convo. Rip.

So using very loose terms, I believe we've lost more ADCs than we've gained. We've not really lost them as ADCs, but several ADCs are being played more as other roles than just ADC. Corki is more a midlaner now, Urgot is soon to be a juggernaut (so I've heard at least) and presumably a toplaner, Quinn is a toplaner, and Graves is a jungler. The last two ADCs we've gotten are Jhin and Kalista iirc, and we're just now gonna get another one paired with a support (I personally don't think that Riot should force synergy like that). Thoughts? Should they come back as ADCs so we can have more diversity in an already heavily saturated role? Should they stay there and other ADCs/ADC itemization just get changed to be more worthwhile for other ADCs like Trist and Sivir who aren't good right now?

I personally don't see an issue with marksmen having applicable champions for different positions on the map. It just allows for a more diverse meta.

Rebalancing the role would make the most sense to me. There are outliers on both the high and low sides of strength/balance.

urgot was never an ADC, the closest he got was when he was used as an anti-ADC in season 2. he's always been a ranged bruiser juggernaut-y type thing

Riot doesn't force anything, the 2 can play without each other. In fact, Xayah doesn't get any buffs from Rakan's presence aside from the special recall. The buffs for the 2 champions being together is mostly for Rakan.

And even then, the buffs are very minor: a buff in autos and a longer range on an ability that can only be use on an ally. And the normal range is already nice.

Corki has been just as good Mid as he is Bot for a long time now. Unfortunately, he's pretty garbo at both currently. I'll agree that he needs some love.

I don't think Urgot has ever been primarily a Botlaner. At the very least, he has never been considered a typical ADC.

Quinn is a better Botlaner now than she has been in a long time, thanks to the recent buffs to her AS steroid. Although, she's still not great.

And I'll agree that Graves was entirely shifted from Bot to the Jungle when he was updated, which is sad, but I question whether we really need him back in the botlane. Maybe he's just as fun and interesting as a Jungler.

I think the best thing Riot can do for us Marksmen/women players is to just get the outer edges of balance a little closer. Like you said, Corki and Sivir kinda suck right now, and on the other end, I think Lucian is hogging a little too much of the spotlight. But aside from that I think ADCs are in a pretty decent spot.

Also I wouldn't mind if we lost a certain ADC who has two thumbs, five traps, and nearly global AA range... and a stupid hat
