the rift scuttler is the least of my worries at the moment. ive already adapted to the jungle rework yeah the scuttler is a bitch and a half now and you actually have to fight for it, but if you want to avoid fighting that kha zix or that udyr or jax, just go to the opposite river crab. majority of people start bot lane because 2 is better than 1. so if you dont want to fight for the scuttle, let them have the bot scuttle, and you're free to take the top scuttle and maybe take his buff if you're fast enough.
this meta revolves around the junglers ganking less early game, and fighting each other more often..which....i really hate... But this meta kinda revovles around invading, denying your enemy jungler, and is more focused on objective control. So if you dont wanna fight for scuttler, start top (assuming you're on red side) and go blue>invade red (if you're clear is fast enough) and maybe plant a ward down>river crab>gromp>woves>your red. With this meta, you have to have knowledge of them, and play smarter with your path. know where they are, what camps they took, what lane they may gank. So if you see them on say ganking top, invade their bot side jungle and find out what they have. they have wolves and gromp up. ok so take their gromp and place a ward down inbetween the blue gromp and wolves (that area is an AMAZING spot to find your enemy since it covers majority of the walk path) In this jg patch, vision control is pretty important, and knowing where your enemy is.
with this being said there are 2 kinds of junglers. Power farming jungers and Control junglers
Powerfarming junglers are AMAZING at hard farming, but are also very weak pre-6. this can be champs like evelynn and kayn for example
Control jungers as it states, likes to control the jungle. they are the ones who are very strong pre-6 and WANT to fight you and are the ones who are often invading and trying to deny your camps. this can include xin zhao, kha zix etc.
sorry for brambling, But this is how i view this jungle update and how to beat it. its worked ok for me so far.
So to key-point everything, go against the usual take different paths and know where your jungler is and try to deny him as much as possible, and know what type of jungler they are and what type of jungler YOU are
