@Riot Jag/Balance Team: Akali's current state and her future

In the recent Patch Rundown you mentioned that you guys feel that you've been nerf heavy as of late and that sometimes you guys have nerfed a champion without giving them proper power elsewhere in their kit. Akali has been on the painful side of balance lately, the last set of changes being the loss of E proc'ing Q and her R losing range.

My question is this, how do you guys feel about Akali's current state in the game and why? Also, what do you see for her in the future?
