because they aint. elo is inflated as fuck. why do you think most of the top challengers atm usually drop 50-60 places by midseason. Or alot of people in diamond 1 drop to d3-d4 you just need to spam games and get a little lucky and you climb.

I have at least 4 plat friends, not plat 5 talking mid and upper plat, that got placed in silver or bronze. So you have to be able to beat all of the people that needed to climb higher as well.

All the ranks got shifted down approximately one entire tier (besides masters+ players) because of the reset. Give it another month or two for people to get closer to where they belong and ranked will be back to normal.

It's not just you, and it's not just that the ladder is compressed around the silver range.

I ended last season around plat 3 and placed into silver 1. Then I failed my series to gold 5 six times, and four of those had 2 free bonus wins.

The simple fact is that the game is horrendously imbalanced right now if we're judging balance by the standard meta. Jungler influence is off the chart. Bot lane gets steamrolled between lvl 6-8. Then everyone rotates mid, so mid has no laning phase either.

But the junglers and top laners keep farming, so you end up mid game around level 11-12 with the winning jungler and top who are level 13-15.

If you're a mid/sup main, you have less influence than you did last season or the season before - unless your jungler snowballs you. In other words, you can play exactly like you did last season, and you will have less impact on the outcome of the game.
