Why am I being placed with people from higher elos in my normal games

I am gold 1 and all my games are usually 75% diamond/low plat players and only 2-3 gold players. You would think this would be a good experience for me to learn from players who are better than me but they usually just flame at me after I die a couple times in lane to a diamond player. Then when I try to defend myself they all just gang up on my and call me "gold trash" and just complain in all chat about how they got the "trash gold player." My MMR was considered normal according to op.gg. Why can't I just play with Gold players? I don't want to have to deal with this every time I get into a normal game.

Because normal MMR and Ranked MMR are two different things. You will find many many people who have very few normal games thus have an MMR in normals that isn't consistent with their ranked level. This is simply how it is.

I'm Silver. In normals, I get placed a few golds and few bronze (I get around 2-3 bronze and 1 Gold, and occasionally 1 more silver). I rarely get silvers. Does it mean I'm really bad for my elo?

Because your normal MMR is close to their normal MMR.

Either:

You have a better normal MMR than your rank They have a lower normal MMR than their rank

Could be worse I am silver 4 and get matched against plats and diamonds almost every game in norms.....
