high zone control, long range poke, slows for days, stun for stuns for stuns. map vision op? but the dmg, is for real 40% cdr + tons of arm pen = poke for days.
think varus mid, but with slightly less dmg, but ALOT more map control and siege potential / peel

that 1 spell has like a 2.5 or 3sec CD. and to answer the build question another guy had, just your typical varus or jayce build will suffice, neat thing about ashe however is she gets crit on her own so me personally build her a bit different.
10% cdr from glyph's (6 per level ones), 5% masteries, 15% boots and 10% brutalizer.
so build is, boots n ghostblade + manamune + BT + LW + IE personally i forgo the defensive item, unless im scared of specific champions then instead of IE i'd get qss, or possibly banshee's, but if im not afraid of there dive or if im just going yolo que, i like IE especially with ashe getting crits for days anyway.
she can spam W for days, with ghostblade active + Q her single target dmg is ok (not great, just meh) but its nice having the zone control and poke, you know how people compare varus to xerath, i kinda compare ashe to ziggs where xerath or ziggs do amazing overall dmg, but whats neat about ziggs is his E+W bring some utility, where ashe's W + R bring some great utiliity as well.
the build has already been proven to work and win and produce damage in the LPL, but the player was playing her with this build in the ADC role, im saying, that varus looks nice, well so does ashe in the mid lane, and the build is already proven, only thing that is left is for people to practice it out and bring it out on the big stage, until then i'll enjoy the niche pick, just informing my fellow gamers of the next OP.
(W nerf does suck, but its really just the early game, which does suck, but once you hit 9 its all good, thats where i'd agree varus does reign supreme is that his early game is relatively strong, just dont sleep on ashe.
