You don't have to have the item with you throughout the whole game. You can buy them and sell them back or buy the items before the game ends in spawn fountain. The mission asks you to buy the items, not keep them.
Edit: You just need to finish the game with it so if you are in fountain as the game ends as a victory just sell back your stuff and buy the items.
Cherilyn1 votesDon't we need to have them when the game ends? I bought them and sold them back using undo and still didnt get the mission completed. Do we actually need to leave the fountain with the items?? Rito pls.

I guess you have to finish the game then, I got the mission rewards by buying it at the last second.
