What's Everyone's opinion on Trundle?

I've been looking around and I never really played Trundle before as I didn't lack how his lack of damage looked (imho). After awhile though, after learning to appreciate Mundo Top, I thought that Trundle might be another possible top to play.

His kit is....interesting to say the least. I once saw a top Trundle just massacre an enemy kennen at Lvl 3....but how the heck?

His gap closer doesn't have any CC. Anyone know how good trundle is? I need another quirky guy for top besides Mundo

hide in bush, frozen domain when their near, attempt to get a Chomp in for the slow, if they run too far, Pillar thier escape, place it so they have to walk into the slow or further from the nearest escape path. Chomp again if available, kill or no kill, they it usually hurts them more.

Watch out for minions when engaging. know when to disengage Later on Trundle is a better support champion, insuring kills and keeping allies alive with his pillar.

in my opinion anyway.

two of his four abilities are just setup, they don't do much on their own. his e is a really strong cockblock to running, and chasing.

but In my opinion he's better off in the jungle right now as he doesn't need to much gold to function, just as mundo giving your team another bruiser/tank toplane or another type of carry that needs gold to function.

most of trundles damage honestly comes from his w and sheen boosted q's

he isn't bad toplane, I just think there might be better picks you can mesh with if you work them in the jungle.
